About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team at TCS. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

The ideal candidate will have strong coding skills, particularly in Java or other programming languages, and extensive experience with automation tools and frameworks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and DevOps to streamline testing processes, improve test coverage, and enhance overall product quality. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects in a fast-paced environment, utilizing the latest automation technologies to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in test automation framework development and maintenance.




- Strong programming skills in Java or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with API automation using RestAssured or Karate Framework.
- Proficiency in web automation using Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks like Cucumber and TestNG.
- Understanding of RDBMS such as Oracle or Postgres, and non-relational databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot test failures effectively.
- Positive understanding of performance testing tools like JMeter is a plus.
- Familiarity with Playwright with TypeScript or Cypress is advantageous.
- Experience with mobile app testing and automation using Appium is desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks to support functional, regression, and performance testing activities.
- Implement API automation using RestAssured or Karate Framework, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Create and execute web automation scripts utilizing Selenium WebDriver, ensuring high reliability and accuracy.
- Integrate automation scripts within CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Jenkins to enable continuous testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application architecture and identify automation opportunities.
- Debug and troubleshoot test failures,



performing root cause analysis to improve test stability and reliability.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks, incorporating new tools and best practices as needed.
- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and review activities to ensure quality standards are met.
- Contribute to performance testing efforts using tools like JMeter, and explore opportunities for mobile automation using Appium.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in test automation and software testing methodologies.
