Job Profile: AutoCAD Designer (Steel Fabrication)

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare Drawings: Create detailed 2D and 3D structural steel fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and part prints using AutoCAD.

· Detailing Structures: Design and detail structural steel members such as beams, columns, channels, angles, trusses, and staircases.

· Shop Documentation: Generate clear shop and erection drawings for manufacturing and site installation teams.

· Bill of Materials (BOM): Prepare accurate material take-offs, cutting lists, and BOM details for production planning.

· Team Coordination: Collaborate with production floor workers, project managers, and structural engineers to resolve technical queries.

· Revisions: Update existing drawings based on client feedback, site measurements,



or engineering modifications.

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering .

· Software Proficiency: Strong expertise in AutoCAD (2D/3D); familiarity with detailing software like Tekla or SolidWorks is a strong plus.

· Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of steel fabrication processes, welding symbols, and industrial standards.

· Attention to Detail: Excellent spatial visualization and ability to read complex architectural and structural blueprints.
