Sohum Innovation Lab is a medical device company with a focus on technological innovation in the area of early detection of diseases with point-of-care medical devices. We have innovated products and technologies for newborn hearing screening and diagnostics. We develop market-driven solutions to improve the health and incomes of people living in resource-poor settings.

Affiliated to DBT, Government of India, Sohum’s indigenously developed AABR technology-based hearing screening device has been recognised at various national and international forums. We received the Presidential National Award, the WHO Top 50 Technologies for Low-Resource Settings award, and have collaborated with organizations such as BIRAC, Stanford University, AIIMS Recent Delhi, IITD, and Grand Challenges Canada. Our hearing screening device is a globally recognized solution and successfully detects hearing loss in babies born in India and Africa.

We are looking for passionate audiologists to develop & implement newborn hearing screening in India and other countries across the globe. The newborn hearing screening model creates high social and market impact and we need someone passionate about implementing programs end to end. The audiologist will work closely with Doctors, Hospitals, NGOs, policymakers, Parents, and Government bodies to develop unique customer insights & create scalable & sustainable implementation models.

It is also required that the audiologist build new collaborations and partnerships to expand the market.



The skill set may include business development, public health, social sector development, general management & training.

Responsibilities

- Conducting newborn hearing screening using AABR and OAE technologies
- Hearing Diagnostics
- Enrolling new hospitals for newborn hearing screening; this will be an important part of the job, so please make sure you communicate well and are confident engaging and delivering content.
- Data management & account management
- Clinical Data Annotation (marking the peaks)
- Partnership with other diagnostics chains, companies in newborn care, corporate maternity chains, hearing aid-cochlear implant companies
- Counselling Parents
- Engagement with Doctors, Nurses, hospital management
- Excellent Counselling skills.
- Passionate about pediatric audiology
- Collaborate with medical professionals to provide integrated care.
- Ability to build trust, value others, and demonstrate high integrity
- Following up on all payments and maintaining a record of tests and payments
- Willingness to contribute to community health programs or screening initiatives in low-resource or public health settings is highly beneficial.
- Also interested in participation in field visits, outreach camps, and training activities

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Audiology
- Experience in basic audiology; freshers may also apply
