We are looking for an Associate Engineer – Lab Maintenance with experience in instrument calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical documentation. Candidates with exposure to laser, optics, optical instruments, spectroscopy or non-contact measurement devices will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Calibration of analytical instruments including FTIR, Electronic Balances, Non-contact Measurement, RAMAN, Color and Fluorescence instruments.
- Maintain calibration reports on daily, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly schedules.
- Maintain AMC records and IQ, OQ and PQ documentation for instruments.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Department for support and service during instrument/equipment breakdowns.
- Follow up on instrument maintenance and perform troubleshooting during failures.
- Coordinate with service engineers to ensure timely repair of instruments.
- Maintain documentation of instrument service reports.
- Arrange calibration of instruments through Government-approved external laboratories.
- Support qualification of new instruments with appropriate documentation.
- Coach and mentor other team members whenever required.

Education





- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Mechanical / Electronics & Communication / Electrical preferred.
- Master’s in Laser and Optics is preferred.
- Qualifications/exposure related to laser, optics, spectroscopy and optical instruments will be an advantage.

Experience

- 2–3 years of experience in instrument calibration.
- 1–2 years of experience with laser, optics, optical instruments, spectroscopy and/or non-contact measurement devices preferred.
- Lean experience is a plus.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Moderate proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
