Job Summary

We are looking for detail-oriented and technically inclined professionals with basic knowledge of CAD and engineering drawings to support the migration, uploading, and validation of legacy engineering and product data into the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system.

The role primarily involves reviewing engineering/product data, uploading information into the PLM system, and validating the accuracy and completeness of migrated data as per defined project guidelines.

Candidates should be comfortable working on computer-based, repetitive, and detail-oriented tasks that require accuracy, consistency, and concentration.

Candidates with basic CAD knowledge and an understanding of engineering drawings can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Upload legacy engineering and product data into the PLM system according to defined procedures.
- Validate migrated data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Review engineering drawings, CAD files, technical documents, and product-related information.
- Verify information against source documents and identify discrepancies.
- Ensure correct data entry, classification, attributes, naming conventions, and document details.
- Identify missing, duplicate, or inconsistent data and escalate issues where required.
- Perform data cleansing and quality checks as part of the migration process.
- Follow established data migration guidelines, workflows, and quality standards.
- Maintain accuracy while handling a high volume of engineering/product records.
- Complete assigned migration and validation activities within project timelines.
- Maintain records of completed, pending, and exception items.
- Coordinate with the project/engineering team for clarification on data-related issues.




- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of engineering and product information.
- Support other PLM data migration and validation activities as required.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Basic knowledge of CAD and engineering drawings is mandatory.
- Ability to understand and interpret basic technical/engineering information.
- Good computer proficiency.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good data-entry and documentation skills.
- Ability to work on repetitive, computer-based tasks consistently.
- Robust willingness to learn new software and processes.
- Ability to follow defined instructions, processes, and guidelines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

CAD Requirement
- CAD knowledge is mandatory.
- Candidates who have learned CAD through academic coursework, training, certification, or projects can be considered.
- Knowledge of tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Siemens NX, or similar CAD software will be an advantage.

Good to Have
- Basic understanding of PLM/PDM concepts.
- Exposure to engineering drawings or technical documentation.
- Knowledge of BOMs, product structures, or engineering documentation.
- Previous experience in data entry, data validation, documentation, or data migration.
- Exposure to manufacturing, mechanical engineering, automotive, or product-based industries.

Education
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Candidates with relevant CAD knowledge and technical aptitude may also be considered.

Experience 0-3 years of experience. Freshers with basic CAD knowledge, good computer skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn can also be considered.
