Hiring for an Associate in Corporate and M&A; team at Delhi location

Key Skills Required

- Transactional experience- M&A;, private equity investments, VC funding, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.

- Must have demonstrable experience in independently drafting and reviewing definitive agreements including SPAs, SHA, JV agreements, term sheets, business transfer agreements, and related transactional documents and participated and assisted in the negotiations.

- Advisory experience- general corporate laws, regulatory and sectoral laws and compliance requirements.

- Well versed and good understanding of corporate laws, including, Indian Contracts Act, 1872, Companies Act, 2013, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, Competition Act, 2002, Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Rules and Regulations, and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Regulations, Industrial and Labour Law(s), Data Protection Laws, etc.

- Up to date knowledge of current changes to law and jurisprudence.

- Able to deliver work products within specified timelines.

Other Skills

- Excellent research skills,



active participation in KM, writing external and internal articles and papers.

- Analytical ability- able to analyze laws, judgements and apply the same for practical use

- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Should be able to articulate.

- Ability to interact with clients confidently and with legal knowledge on a subject.

- Valuable team player – able to guide and supervise juniors and interns within the team.

- Good turnaround time, detail oriented, has commercial and business acumen, willing to get to the bottom of a problem, not skim it from a height.

- Able to use the computer efficiently.

- High level of integrity, honesty and commitment to work ethics.

- Conforms to Firm’s policies.

Experience and Education

- A five-year law degree from a reputed university with a good academic record.

- 1-3 years of experience in the corporate practice of a well-reputed law firm(s).
