Job DescriptionJob Purpose: To teach, and mentor students in the domain of Product Design, contributing to academic excellence, industry-relevant learning, and creative innovation at School of Design, MIT Vishwaprayag University. The faculty member will also participate in curriculum development, research, and cooperative design projects with industry and academia.

NKey Responsibilities:

NDeliver engaging lectures, studio sessions, and workshops in Product Design.

NMentor students through projects, portfolio development, and internships.

NDevelop curriculum and teaching material aligned with current industry standards.

NParticipate in academic reviews, exhibitions, juries, and student evaluations.

NCollaborate with industrypartners to bring live projects and case studies into classrooms.

NEngage in research, publications, or creative practice relevant to design education.

NContribute to outreach activities, events, and institutional growth initiatives.

NQualification & Experience:

NEducational Qualification:

NMaster's Degree in Design(M.Des)



in Product Design or a related discipline from a recognized institution. Ph.D. candidate would be preferred.

NExperience:

N3–5 years of academic and/or professional experience in the relevant design domain.

NPrior teaching experiencein a design institute will be preferred.

NSkills & Competencies:

NStrong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and digital tools.

NProficiency in design software such as Rhino, Solidworks, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or similar.

NAbility to mentor students in design thinking, concept development, and execution.

NExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

NPassion for teaching, creativity, and continuous learning.

NDesirable Attributes:

NExperience in handling industry projects or consultancy assignments.

NKnowledge of new media, emerging technologies, and digital design trends.

NContribution to research,publications, or professional design networks.
