Role Description The Assistant Professor (Computer Science Engineering) role is a full-time, on-site position based at CT Group of Institutions in Jalandhar. The role involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer science engineering, preparing and updating course materials, and conducting lectures, labs, and tutorials.
The Assistant
Professor will guide students in academic projects, mentor them on career paths, and support research and innovation activities within the department.
Responsibilities include evaluating student performance, maintaining academic records,
participating in curriculum development, and contributing to departmental and institutional academic initiatives. The role also involves engaging in professional development, attending academic meetings, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science with the ability to teach core subjects and emerging areas.
- Proficiency in Programming and related practical skills for laboratory and project guidance.
- Knowledge of Data Science concepts and tools applicable to teaching and research.
- Understanding of Cybersecurity principles and practices relevant to modern computer science education.
- Experience or interest in Curriculum Development for computer science and engineering programs.
- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.Tech/M.E./Master’s in Computer Science or related field); Ph.D. or ongoing doctoral studies preferred.
- Effective communication, classroom management, and mentoring skills, with an aptitude for engaging diverse learners.
- Ability to participate in research, publications, and academic activities, and to collaborate with faculty and industry partners.
- Familiarity with outcome-based education, accreditation standards, and use of educational technology in teaching.
