About UKIBC
UK India Business Council (UKIBC ) promotes bilateral trade relationships between UK and India through its Membership & Advisory offerings by engaging with UK and Indian Companies. These companies are assisted with practical advice, market intelligence, and market entry support to navigate through the operating environment in both countries.
The UK India Business Council believes passionately that the UK-India business partnership creates jobs and growth in both countries, and that UK and Indian businesses have ideas, technology, services, and products that can succeed in the corridor. The fact that both countries are key investors in each other’s economies reinforces this. Through our intelligence, influence and interactions, the UK India Business Council supports businesses to achieve success.
Key Responsibilities
Books & Transaction Accounting Own day-to-day bookkeeping for each assigned client — raising sale invoices and quotations, booking expense and salary entries correctly against each client's ledger, and keeping bank statements reconciled and up to date, so every client's books are accurate and audit-ready at all times.
Payroll Management Run the monthly payroll cycle end-to-end for each client, including onboarding and exit changes, employee query resolution, and statutory filings tied to payroll (such as PF ECR) — ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time every month.
Payments & Disbursements Execute all recurring outward payments on schedule — vendors, payroll, employee reimbursements, and statutory remittances (PF, NPS, Skilled Tax) — as well as ancillary disbursements like Sodexo recharges, with accuracy and no missed cycles.
Statutory Compliance Manage each client's compliance calendar independently — TDS computation and payment, GST return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), and quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q/26Q) — and be the first point of contact for resolving TDS, GST,and PF notices or queries, so no client incurs interest, penalties, or notices due to a missed filing.
MIS & Financial Reporting Produce recurring business reporting for each client — weekly sales/collections/receivables trackers, monthly profitability statements, and support for annual financial statement preparation — and act as the coordination point with statutory auditors during finalization and audit.
Systems & Stakeholder Coordination Operate across each client's accounting and payroll software, manage GST OTP authentication and TDS return portals, and liaise with the full range of stakeholders a client touches — management, employees, vendors, banks, and auditors — so nothing falls through the gaps between systems or people.
Prior experience in consulting and FP&A; is essential.
