The Role

We're hiring an Assistant Manager to own a portfolio of clients end-to-end, support a Manager in running the team, and play a key role in scaling Flare's operations. You'll work directly with international clients in a fast-paced, tech-first environment.

What You'll Do

- Independently manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate closure of books
- Oversee day-to-day transaction processing — AP, AR, and month-end close
- Design and set up bespoke accounting processes tailored to each client
- Review and finalize work completed by associates
- Manage, mentor, and train junior team members




- Prepare and finalize management accounts and investor reporting
- Support ad-hoc projects — financial models, business plans, fundraising, and M&A; transactions
- Deliver exceptional service and build solid, lasting client relationships

What You Bring

- CA / ACCA qualified
- 5–6 years of relevant accounting experience
- Hands-on expertise with QuickBooks Online (QBO) for US client accounting
- Hands-on expertise with Xero for UK client accounting
- Strong command of Excel and GAAP frameworks (IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP)
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Robust time management and client coordination abilities
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in tech-driven accounting
