Hiring for Assistant Manager - Global Marketing, Business Process Services (BPS)

Function: Business Process Services (BPS) Marketing

Role level: Assistant Manager / equivalent level, subject to internal grading

Portfolio: One or more industry verticals, strategic themes and geographic markets based on business priorities

Travel and work pattern: Flexibility to support global time zones and travel for priority customers, leadership and industry programs

Role Purpose

Lead integrated marketing for Tech Mahindra Business Process Services across assigned industry verticals, geographies and strategic priorities. The role translates business objectives into focused go-to-market programs, executive engagement, thought leadership, campaigns, events, sales enablement and market-facing communications that strengthen positioning, create demand and support account growth.

This position serves as the strategic marketing partner and program owner connecting business leadership, sales, delivery, solution teams, corporate marketing, design, communications, partners, analysts, agencies and external stakeholders. It requires both strategic judgment and hands-on ownership: shaping the plan, developing the narrative, mobilizing contributors and ensuring high-quality execution from brief through measurement.

Scope of the Role:

- Portfolio-led, not single-vertical: manage one or more assigned industries or cross-industry themes; the portfolio may change as business priorities evolve.
- Global and cross-functional: coordinate programs across markets and time zones while aligning global, regional and account-level requirements.
- Strategy through execution: own planning, messaging, stakeholder alignment, content development, program delivery and performance reporting.
- Influence-led leadership: drive outcomes through matrixed teams and senior stakeholders, whether the role has direct reports.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Marketing and Portfolio Planning

- Develop annual and quarterly marketing plans for assigned BPS industries, solutions, accounts, geographies or strategic themes, aligned with business growth priorities.
- Convert business objectives into clear target audiences, value propositions, campaign themes, channel plans, content roadmaps, budgets, milestones and measurable outcomes.
- Partner with business, sales, delivery and solution leaders to identify market opportunities, buyer priorities, proof points and gaps in market perception.
- Maintain an integrated view of programs, dependencies, risks and decisions; prioritise activity according to commercial relevance and available capacity.

2. Industry and Go-to-Market Programs

- Lead go-to-market programs across assigned industry verticals and solutions, without limiting the role to any single sector.
- Develop and refine positioning, messaging, campaign narratives and audience-specific value propositions grounded in customer needs and Tech Mahindra capabilities.
- Coordinate launches and priority business initiatives across owned, earned, partner, event and sales-led channels.
- Monitor industry developments, competitor activity, customer priorities and emerging technology themes to inform marketing recommendations and content direction.

3. Account-Based Marketing and Sales Enablement

- Design and deliver account-based and account-cluster marketing programs in partnership with sales and account teams.
- Support priority pursuits and account growth through executive engagement, tailored messaging, account insights, workshops, campaign assets and targeted communications.
- Create sales-enablement materials such as executive presentations, solution overviews, client stories, briefing documents, talk tracks and campaign toolkits.
- Define the intended commercial outcome for each program and track marketing contribution to engagement, opportunity progression and influence pipeline.

4. Executive Engagement, Events and Experiences

- Plan and execute executive roundtables, CXO forums, customer events, webinars, industry conferences, analyst engagements,

site or delivery-center launches and other strategic experiences.
- Own the end-to-end event workstream: objective and audience definition, agenda, speakers, invitations, briefing packs, presentations, branding, partner coordination, logistics, executive communications and post-event follow-up.
- Ensure each event is connected to a broader business and marketing objective rather than treated as a standalone activity.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to deliver a polished experience consistent with Tech Mahindra standards.

5. Thought Leadership, Content and Executive Communications

- Develop, commission, edit and govern thought leadership and business content across formats, including point-of-view papers, articles, presentations, case studies, newsletters, webinars, press materials, social content and event collateral.
- Translate complex BPS, industry, technology and operational concepts into explicit, differentiated narratives for executive and enterprise audiences.
- Prepare executive briefing packs, speaking points, internal updates and leadership communications for high-visibility programs.
- Maintain editorial quality, factual accuracy, message consistency and relevance across all deliverables.

6. Brand, Creative and Communications Governance

- Protect brand consistency across customer-facing and market-facing assets while adapting creative execution to audience, channel and program context.
- Write clear creative and content briefs; manage design requests, reviews, approvals and production timelines with internal teams and agencies.
- Oversee event branding, co-branded and partner content, sponsorship deliverables and other high-visibility applications of the brand.
- Coordinate with corporate communications and public relations teams on announcements, press materials and external messaging where required.

7. Stakeholder, Partner and Agency Management

- Act as the central marketing liaison across business leadership, sales, delivery, solutions, corporate marketing, design, communications, finance, procurement and other enabling functions.
- Facilitate decisions, clarify ownership, resolve dependencies and maintain momentum across complex matrixed programs.
- Manage working relationships with partners, agencies, event vendors, publishers and other external contributors, including briefs, timelines, quality control and agreed deliverables.
- Build credibility with senior stakeholders through concise communication, sound recommendations and dependable execution.

8. Marketing Operations, Measurement and Optimization

- Establish objectives, KPIs and report plans for campaigns, events and content programs before execution begins.
- Track program performance using available CRM, marketing automation, web, social, event and sales data; turn results into practical recommendations.
- Provide regular updates to marketing and business leadership covering progress, outcomes, risks, learnings and next actions.
- Manage approved budgets, purchase processes and vendor deliverables with appropriate financial discipline and governance.
- Continuously improving planning, asset reuse, channel mix and workflows based on evidence and stakeholder feedback.

Expected Deliverables:

- Integrated annual and quarterly marketing plans for assigned portfolios.
- Campaign and account-based marketing briefs with defined audiences, messages, channels, owners and KPIs.
- Executive engagement and event plans, including agendas, stakeholder briefs, communication plans and follow-up actions.
- High-quality thought leadership, sales-enablement and brand assets delivered to agreed timelines.
- Leadership-ready program updates and performance reports with clear recommendations.
- A well-governed portfolio of agencies,

partners, vendors, budgets and marketing dependencies.

Success Measures:

- Alignment of marketing activity with BPS business, industry and account priorities.
- Quality and timeliness of GTM programs, campaigns, content, events and executive deliverables.
- Engagement from target accounts, senior decision-makers, customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
- Marketing contribution to demand creation, opportunity progression, account growth and influenced pipeline, using agreed attribution methods.
- Improvement in market visibility, thought-leadership reach, content performance and brand consistency.
- Stakeholder confidence, operational discipline, budget control and continuous improvement of marketing effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, management or a related discipline; a relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- Typically 5-10 years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in technology services, business process services, consulting, enterprise solutions or another complex global business environment.
- Demonstrated experience owning integrated marketing or GTM programs across one or more industries, solutions, accounts or geographies.
- Strong record of working with senior business and sales leaders and delivering through cross-functional, matrixed teams.
- Hands-on experience in executive events, content development, campaigns, sales enablement, brand governance and external partner or agency management.
- Working knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, digital and social channels, analytics and reporting tools. Familiarity with AI-enabled research, content and productivity tools is desirable, with appropriate review and governance.
- Experience with international stakeholders and willingness to work flexibly across time zones and travel when business critical.

Core Competencies:

- Strategic and commercial thinking connects marketing activity to business priorities, audiences and measurable outcomes.
- Integrated program leadership moves confidently from strategy and planning to detailed execution and follow-through.
- Executive communication: writes and presents clear, concise and credible material for senior stakeholders.
- B2B storytelling and content judgment turns complex propositions into relevant narratives and high-quality assets.
- Stakeholder influence: creates alignment across teams with different objectives, timelines and reporting lines.
- Operational ownership: manages multiple priorities, budgets, vendors, approvals, risks and deadlines with limited supervision.
- Analytical discipline: uses evidence to evaluate performance, challenge assumptions and improve decisions.
- Adaptability and learning agility builds sufficient understanding of new industries, technologies and markets to lead credible marketing programs.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a senior B2B marketer who is equally comfortable advising leaders, shaping a market narrative, building an integrated plan and personally driving critical deliverables to completion. They should bring strong judgment, high standards for communication and brand quality, and the ability to create structure in a fast-moving, matrixed environment.

Role Boundaries

- Vertical assignment is flexible: prior expertise in a specific industry is valuable but the role must be capable of supporting different portfolios as organizational needs change.
- Pipeline impact is shared: the role supports demand, engagement and opportunity progression in partnership with sales; it is not solely accountable for sales closure.
- The role is not purely operational: event logistics, asset production and coordination are important, but they must be anchored in strategy, audience relevance and measurable business outcomes.
- Direct reports are not assumed: the successful candidate must lead effectively through influence, agencies and cross-functional teams.
