Role Description The Articled Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi.
The Articled
Assistant will assist in tax advisory and compliance work, including preparation and review of working papers, returns, and documentation related to Direct Tax, GST, and International Tax. Daily responsibilities include supporting audits, maintaining accounting records, handling basic bookkeeping tasks, and helping with regulatory and secretarial compliance under Corporate Law and FEMA. The role also involves working on payroll-related calculations, coordinating with clients for data collection and clarifications, and contributing to the drafting of reports, notes, and working memos.
The Articled
Assistant will be expected to follow internal controls,
adhere to timelines, participate in training sessions, and collaborate with senior team members to deliver accurate and timely client service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should be registered or eligible to register as Articled/Audit Assistants under applicable qualified regulations (e.g., pursuing Chartered Accountancy) and possess a strong academic foundation in accounting, taxation, and finance.
- Candidates should possess sound knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping, including ledger posting, reconciliations, and preparation of basic financial statements.
- Candidates should possess functional skills in Direct Tax, GST, and International Tax, including understanding of returns, compliance timelines, and basic tax planning concepts.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Corporate Law and FEMA-related compliance, including maintaining statutory records and supporting filings and documentation.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and accounting/tax software, along with the ability to work with digital documentation and online portals.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
- Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
