BAM is looking for people who are genuinely curious about architecture, design, media and the people behind them.

We'd like to meet you if you are the kind of person who notices:

- Who designed a project.
- Where it was published.
- Who wrote about it.
- Which editor might care about it.
- Which studios are doing interesting work.
- What awards are opening.
- What conversations are happening in architecture.
- And how all of these people could be better connected.

At BAM, you could eventually work across one of four areas:

Studio Relations — discovering architecture practices, speaking with studios, helping them join BAM and making BAM part of how they share their projects with the media.

Media & Publications — building relationships with editors, journalists and publications around the world and developing BAM's intelligence about how architecture media works.

Awards & Events — following architecture awards, competitions, exhibitions, festivals and events globally, building relationships with organisers and helping build ArchAwards and ArchEvents.

Brand & Content — writing, researching and creating content that helps architects understand media, PR, visibility and BAM.

What you'll actually spend your time doing

Researching projects, studios, publications, editors, awards and events. Writing emails, short editorial copy and content. Speaking to architects, editors and industry professionals. Building relationships and following them up properly. Maintaining information that becomes useful intelligence for the whole BAM team. Looking at how people use BAM and suggesting ways the platform can work better.

Some days you may be researching an architecture practice in Portugal. Another day you may be speaking with an editor in London, studying an awards programme in Japan or helping shape a BAM feature.

We care much more about how you think than your CV.

You may be a fresher or have around 1 year of experience in areas such as writing, architecture journalism, editorial, media,



content, communications or research.

What matters more

- You are comfortable starting conversations with people you don't know.
- You are curious and research deeply rather than stopping at the first Google result.
- You remember people and relationships.
- You follow up.
- You can think strategically about why one person should know another.
- You are organised enough to maintain information properly.
- You notice what others miss.
- You have opinions and ideas about how products and workflows could improve.

Being naturally outgoing helps. But we're not looking for someone who simply talks a lot; we want someone who can make people comfortable, understand what matters to them and build relationships that last. You may fit especially well if…

You read architecture publications voluntarily.

You follow architecture studios on Instagram.

You know—or want to know—the difference between ArchDaily, Dezeen, Domus, Wallpaper*, Architectural Digest and smaller independent publications.

You enjoy interviews, podcasts and writing.

You find yourself saving interesting projects, articles, studios, awards or events.

You would enjoy knowing what is happening across architecture before everyone else does.

About BAM

BAM — Bureau of Architecture Media — is building an infrastructure connecting architecture and design studios with media, publishing opportunities, awards and industry visibility.

We are building BAM alongside platforms including ArchAwards and ArchEvents, with more industry intelligence products to come.

This isn't a narrowly defined role.

We will meet robust candidates first and decide where their strengths belong—Studio Relations, Media & Publications, Awards & Events, or Brand & Content.
