Job Title: Apprentice Hiring for 2026-2027

Location: Mumbai, India

About The Programme

This 12-month apprenticeship, under India's National Apprenticeship Training Scheme, provides valuable on-the-job training. Please note, there is no obligation for permanent employment with Deutsche Bank Group upon completion of the Apprenticeship Training tenure.

Role Description

- The Divisional Control Office (DCO) function is a dedicated risk and control function, providing a consolidated view and central coordination of non-financial risks, as well as effective, efficient, and consistent standards and policies.

The Group Chief Operating

Office (GCOO) DCO office has coverage responsibilities for all functions within GCOO including Human Resources, Global Real Estate, Trade Settlement & Confirmation Office, Global Procurement among others.

- A new Control Testing Unit is being established and will work closely with other control testing teams across Infrastructure. This team will create, identify, track and report control testing activities. They will conduct independent testing (design and operating effectiveness) on different risk types in line with the Control Testing Standards.

Your key responsibilities

Testing delivery

- Execute independent control testing (design and operating effectiveness) in line with the Control Testing methodology and minimum standards.

Findings & reporting

- Identify and validate control deficiencies and related risks; escalate issues or exceptions where required.

- Produce clear, high-quality workpapers and management reports that evidence testing results and findings.

Governance & planning

- Prepare materials for and support Risk & Control governance forums, including progress, results, and key issues.

- Help shape and deliver the annual testing plan; drive plan governance and resolve scoping conflicts with the DCO and stakeholders.

Stakeholder management

- Challenge constructively and facilitate resolution of disagreements, including scoping and evidence gaps.

- Coordinate effectively with control owners and other stakeholders.

Your Skills And Experience

- Good knowledge of auditing controls.

- Good drafting skills, including ability to record and describe complex issues clearly and succinctly, in a way that is easily understandable by any recipient of the relevant reports.

- Strong organizational, project management and leadership skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize workload.

- Strong analytical, presentation skills and structured thought process with the ability to clearly articulate control deficiencies and related risk.

- Flexible, proactive, and innovative mindset with strong organizational skills to take ownership and responsibility for agreed targets and to meet them within budget to enable a timely and efficient completion of projects.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
