What Youll Be Doing (position summary):

nThe Application Developer is responsible for the detailed technical design and development of

napplications using various technology platforms. The role utilizes a solid understanding of business

ndynamics to conduct impact analysis and provide feedback on problems with recommended

nsolutions. The incumbent determines methods and approaches to projects, transforming business

nrequirements specifications into programming instructions, designing, coding, and testing

nprograms. The role also plays a key part in the development and implementation of database

nmanagement solutions, supporting the companys backup plans. Considerable judgement and

nautonomy are exercised in day-to-day tasks, including data source analysis and negotiation with

nusers regarding requirements.

nHow Youll Succeed (responsibilities):

nProgramming Skills:

nDevelop, code, and test end-to-end stack of applications.

nReview, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, and

ndebugging.

nSystems Implementation:

nParticipate in and conduct technical design, development, and integration of cross-

nfunctional, multiplatform application systems.

nTroubleshooting and Technical Skills:

nWork closely with key business and technology partners to ensure business and client

nimpact issues are well understood and addressed.

nEnsure adherence to all regulatory and information security standards and policies in

napplication management.

nProvide technical guidance concerning business implications of application development

nprojects.

nRelationship Management:

nBuild strong relationships and partnerships with technical team members, clients, vendors,

nand peers.

nLead discussions, listen, and ask questions to ensure problems/issues are identified and

nresolved.

nCommunicate detailed information in an impactful way, verbally and in writing.

nCROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

nCollaborates with peers inside and outside the work unit to identify, discuss, and resolve

nbusiness issues related to application development.





nInteracts regularly with business partners, technology teams, and vendors to obtain and

nexchange information, clarify requirements, and resolve issues.

nWorks closely with internal clients to ensure systems and processes supporting applications

nare operating effectively and efficiently.

nCOMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES

nExperience: 5+ years of experience

nWho You Are (skills/qualifications):

nMust Have Skills:

n5+ years experience as an Application Developer/Support and Integration Specialist.

nGood knowledge and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.

nProficient in databases (Oracle, PL/SQL), batch processing, TFS, Agile methodologies,

nfirewalls, FTP, and SFTP.

nExperience in Azure migrations from Informatica to Azure Data Factory and/or Databricks

nand use of other Azure solutions

nExperience in application production support, logical thinking, organizational and

ntroubleshooting skills.

nAbility to manage relationships with technology and business partners.

nAdvanced verbal and written communication skills.

nGood to Have:

nExperience with Netezza, Autosys, Java, .Net, Github.
