Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Application Architect who plans, architects, designs, and oversees the development of software applications and ensures they align with business needs and technical standards.
An Application Architect, will provide functional and technical expertise to plan, analyze, define, and support the delivery of future functional and technical capabilities for an application or group of applications.
Key Responsibilities
· Review current application and database architecture and provide recommendations on optimizations/enhancements.
· Builds technical designs for new and existing software applications that incorporate architecture patterns, frameworks, data models, application components, and system integrations.
· Support application development teams through the design, coding, testing, and deployment phases.
· Provides architectural decisions to ensure compliance with established standards.
· Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
· Conduct regular reviews of application performance and suggest enhancements to improve efficiency.
· Integrates security measures into the application architecture, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
· Evaluates and provides recommendation new technologies to assess their applicability to specific projects and supports the current architecture.
· Integrates applications to run smoothly with backend tools
· Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for the application architecture, including design documents, diagrams, and technical specifications
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 7+ years of software development and application design experience with financial institutions and fintechs.
- Core Banking Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Core banking system and Wallet platforms.
- Deployments & CI/CD: Hands-on experience utilizing CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
- Database: Strong proficiency in databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MS SQL, MySQL.
- Integrations: Expertise in integrations using APIs, webhooks, and third-party interfaces.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of core banking and wallet platform.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with continuous process of improvement
- Experience and knowledge on maintaining hybrid architecture i.e. cloud and on-prem.
