About the Role We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with 5-8 years of professional experience, including strong hands-on experience with Flutter. The ideal candidate should have a robust foundation in native Android development using both Kotlin and Java, alongside practical experience working with Flutter applications-including integrating Flutter modules with native Android code. The role involves building scalable, high-performance mobile applications and taking features end-to-end from development through production release.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Develop and maintain features using Flutter and Dart.
- Integrate Flutter modules with existing native Android codebases.
- Build reusable and responsive UI components using XML Layouts, Jetpack Compose, and Flutter.
- Integrate REST APIs, third-party SDKs, analytics, push notifications, and platform services.
- Work closely with product, design, backend, QA, and other engineering teams.
- Debug and resolve complex native Android and Flutter issues.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, startup time, UI rendering (maintaining 60/120 FPS), scrolling, and network operations.
- Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and testable code.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Write unit and UI tests (JUnit, Espresso, Flutter tests) and maintain code quality.
- Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
- Manage dependencies using Gradle (Groovy/Kotlin DSL) and Flutter packages.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and automated build and release processes.
- Manage Google Play Console releases, internal testing tracks, app signing, and release management.




- Take ownership of features from requirement analysis through production release.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving engineering practices.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5-8 years of professional Android development experience.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java with native Android SDK.
- Strong hands-on experience with XML layouts/Android Views and good working knowledge of Jetpack Compose.
- Experience building and maintaining production applications using Flutter.
- Experience integrating Flutter modules with native Android applications.
- Valuable understanding of Flutter architecture, widgets, state management, navigation, and platform channels.
- Experience with Riverpod, Provider, Bloc, or similar state-management frameworks is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, or similar.
- Good understanding of Kotlin Coroutines, Flows, RxJava, and asynchronous programming.
- Strong understanding of memory management, garbage collection, lifecycle components, and background processing (WorkManager, Services).
- Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party SDKs.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using Android Studio, Profiler, Systrace/Perfetto, Layout Inspector, Flutter DevTools, and ADB.
- Experience writing unit and UI tests (JUnit, Mockito, Espresso, Flutter tests).




- Good understanding of Git and code review practices.
- Experience with Google Play Console, app bundle generation, signing configs, keystores, and production releases.
- Experience with Gradle, Gradle build variants, dependencies, and Flutter package management.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise.

Good to Have

- Experience working on high-traffic consumer applications.
- Experience with Firebase, analytics, crash reporting (Crashlytics), push notifications (FCM), and remote configuration.
- Experience with Flutter MethodChannels/EventChannels and native plugin development.
- Experience optimizing Flutter and Android applications for UI frame rates (FPS profiling) and app size reduction.
- Experience maintaining legacy Java Android codebases and modernizing them to Kotlin.
- Experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
