We’re looking for a Mobile QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Android application testing and Appium automation . You will own application quality across manual and automated testing, identify defects before they reach users, and help improve our Android testing processes.

Key: Hands-on Appium experience for Android application automation is mandatory . Candidates with only Selenium/web automation experience will not be suitable for this role.

? Location: Bangalore — Initially remote for the first few months, followed by onsite work from our Bangalore office. Only Bangalore-based candidates should apply.

? Key Responsibilities

- Perform manual testing of Android applications across features, devices, OS versions, and user flows.
- Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and compatibility test cases.
- Develop, execute, maintain, and debug Appium automation scripts for Android applications .
- Automate critical functional and regression scenarios.
- Work with Appium Inspector, Android Studio/SDK, and ADB for testing and troubleshooting.
- Identify positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios.
- Report and track defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, logs, screenshots, and supporting evidence.
- Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce, investigate, and resolve issues.
- Take ownership of product quality and proactively identify issues before users encounter them.

? Mandatory Technical Skills Candidates should have hands-on experience with:

- Android Manual Testing




- Appium – Android Automation
- Writing and maintaining Appium automation scripts
- Java or Python
- TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, or equivalent framework
- Android Studio / Android SDK
- ADB (Android Debug Bridge)
- Appium Inspector / mobile element identification
- Locators, waits, synchronization, and device configurations
- Functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and compatibility testing
- Test case design and defect lifecycle
- Testing across different Android devices and OS versions

Selenium/web automation experience alone is not sufficient for this position. ➕ Good to Have

- Postman / REST API testing
- Git/GitHub
- Jenkins or other CI/CD tools

- Experience developing or maintaining mobile automation frameworks
- Experience testing subscriptions, payments, or other complex mobile user flows

- Have practical experience testing real Android applications .
- Have personally created and executed automation scripts using Appium .
- Can independently investigate and reproduce mobile application defects.
- Understand which scenarios should be automated versus tested manually.
- Think beyond predefined test cases and actively identify edge cases.
- Have strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Communicate defects and testing results clearly.
- Are comfortable taking ownership of application quality.

? Device Requirement Candidates must own an Android device suitable for application testing .

? Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory . Relevant practical QA experience and demonstrated Android automation skills will also be considered.

? Availability

- Full-time: 40 hours/week
- Participation in team meetings and DSMs
- Infofrenzy: Every Tuesday at 1:00 PM IST
- Good responsiveness and communication during working hours
- Must be comfortable transitioning from remote to onsite work in Bangalore
