Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance high-quality Android applications for smartphones and tablets.
- Build user-friendly mobile applications for healthcare and connected medical-device use cases.
- Integrate Android applications with backend services using REST APIs and JSON.
- Implement and maintain Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication between Android applications and external hardware/medical devices.
- Work closely with Embedded, Backend, QA, UI/UX, and Product teams to design and deliver new features.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs, crashes, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize applications for performance, reliability, usability, and different Android devices.
- Participate in the complete mobile application lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Integrate and maintain relevant third-party libraries and SDKs.
- Stay updated with the latest Android technologies,
development practices, and industry trends.
- Contribute to improving the overall quality, stability, and user experience of KMT's mobile applications.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Android application development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Good understanding of the complete Android application development lifecycle.
- Experience developing and maintaining applications for Android smartphones and tablets.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries.
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and communication between Android applications and external hardware is highly preferred.
- Experience with healthcare, medical devices, IoT, or connected hardware will be an added advantage.
- Experience publishing and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store is preferred.

- Good understanding of Android application architecture and development best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot Bluetooth/BLE connectivity and data communication issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Proactive approach to learning and adopting recent technologies.
- Ability to understand requirements and convert them into reliable, user-friendly mobile applications.
- Knowledge of cloud services such as Firebase, AWS, or Azure is an added advantage
