AMI Teacher-Trained Educator / Montessori Teacher
Role Overview The AMI Teacher-Trained Educator will be responsible for creating a child-centered Montessori learning environment that supports the child’s independence, concentration, confidence, and overall development. The educator should follow Montessori principles and practices while carefully observing each child and providing appropriate guidance based on their individual needs.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a prepared Montessori environment that is orderly, calm, attractive, and accessible to children.
- Present AMI Montessori materials and activities appropriately and according to the child’s developmental stage.
- Observe children regularly to understand their interests, developmental progress, strengths, and areas requiring support.
- Encourage independence, self-discipline, concentration, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Provide individual and small-group presentations based on each child’s readiness and learning needs.
- Follow Montessori principles of freedom within limits and respect the child’s individual pace of learning.
- Maintain the classroom materials, ensuring they are clean, complete, organized, and properly displayed.
- Prepare and maintain daily classroom routines and learning activities in accordance with Montessori methodology.
- Support children in practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, and cultural activities.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and emotionally supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Guide children in developing social skills, grace and courtesy, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Monitor children’s academic,
behavioural, social, and developmental progress through systematic observation and documentation.
- Maintain appropriate student records, observation notes, lesson records, and progress reports.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding the child’s progress and classroom development.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, coordinators, counsellors, and school management when required.
- Participate in parent meetings, school events, workshops, training programmes, and professional development activities.
- Follow all school policies, child-safety procedures, safeguarding practices, and professional standards.
- Ensure the classroom environment promotes respect, inclusion, safety, and dignity for every child.
- Handle classroom situations calmly and positively, avoiding unnecessary punishment or comparison between children.
- Continuously develop Montessori knowledge and classroom practices through observation, reflection, and professional learning.
Required Qualifications
- AMI Montessori Teacher Training certification relevant to the age group.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and methodology.
- Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work patiently and respectfully with young children.
- Strong observation, classroom management, and documentation skills.
- Commitment to child-centered education and continuous career development.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
