Role Overview

We are looking for a highly energetic, creative, and people-oriented Assistant Manager – HR with strong hands-on experience in Employee Engagement, Employee Experience, Employee Relations, Workplace Culture, and large-scale employee engagement programs.

The primary focus of this role will be to create a fun, engaging, collaborative, and vibrant workplace through innovative employee activities, celebrations, events, and team-building initiatives.

The candidate will be responsible for independently owning, managing, and anchoring employee engagement initiatives at scale, creating memorable workplace experiences, strengthening employee connect and belonging, and driving a strong culture of participation across the organization.

The role will support engagement initiatives for an employee base of 12,000+ employees, making prior experience in managing programs for a large employee population essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employee Engagement & Workplace Experience

- Own and drive the organization's employee engagement calendar and engagement initiatives.
- Develop creative and interactive activities that encourage employee participation and strengthen team bonding.
- Introduce current ideas to make the workplace more fun, energetic, engaging, and collaborative.
- Gather employee feedback and identify opportunities to enhance the overall employee experience.
- Independently conceptualize, plan, coordinate, execute, and review employee engagement initiatives.

1. Large-Scale Employee Engagement & Event Ownership

- Own and manage large-scale employee engagement programs for 1,000+ employees, ensuring high participation and seamless execution.
- Plan and execute initiatives suitable for a 12,000+ employee organization, considering diverse teams, locations, and employee groups.
- Take end-to-end ownership of large employee events, including concept development, planning, communication, coordination, execution, and post-event feedback.
- Personally drive and anchor events, activities, and employee engagement sessions, ensuring an energetic and engaging employee experience.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, leadership teams, vendors, agencies, and cross-functional teams for large-scale programs.
- Ensure activities are delivered within timelines and planned budgets while maintaining a high-quality employee experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.





1. Fun Activities & Team Engagement

- Plan and execute games, tournaments, quizzes, competitions, team-building activities, and interactive sessions.
- Organize indoor and outdoor activities to encourage employee participation and cross-functional interaction.
- Develop creative themes and concepts for employee engagement programs.
- Drive activities that promote teamwork, collaboration, and a sense of community.
- Create engaging formats that can be effectively executed across a large employee population.

1. Celebrations & Special Events

- Take ownership of festival celebrations, birthday celebrations, work anniversaries, annual events, and special occasions.
- Plan and execute celebrations from concept to completion, including themes, activities, communication, logistics, coordination, and on-ground execution.
- Create engaging experiences around major festivals and organizational milestones.
- Personally anchor and facilitate events where required to create an energetic and participative environment.
- Ensure celebrations are inclusive and encourage participation across teams and levels.

1. Fun Fridays & Workplace Initiatives

- Plan and execute Fun Fridays, Potluck Days, Theme Days, Dress-Up Days, Talent Activities, Movie Days, and other informal workplace initiatives.
- Continuously introduce fresh and innovative ideas to keep employees engaged throughout the year.
- Create a lively workplace atmosphere through regular informal engagement activities.
- Encourage employees to participate, collaborate, and connect beyond their day-to-day responsibilities.

1. Employee Relations & Employee Connect

- Build strong relationships with employees and create an approachable HR presence.
- Regularly interact with employees to understand their concerns, expectations, and engagement needs.
- Address employee concerns and grievances professionally and in a timely manner.
- Use employee feedback and interactions to improve engagement initiatives and workplace experience.
- Build strong employee connect across different teams and employee groups.

1. Culture Building

- Drive initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing culture.
- Strengthen employee belonging, recognition, teamwork, and organizational connect.




- Work closely with business leaders and HR stakeholders to create a workplace where employees feel valued and engaged.
- Promote a culture of participation, celebration, collaboration, and employee well-being.

- Strong hands-on experience in Employee Engagement and Employee Experience.
- Proven experience in large-scale employee engagement programs involving 1,000+ employees.
- Strong experience in planning and executing employee events and celebrations.
- Proven experience organizing games, tournaments, team-building activities, Fun Fridays, potlucks, and theme-based activities.
- Strong Employee Relations and employee-connect skills.
- Excellent event anchoring, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new and engaging activity concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Robust event planning, coordination, and execution capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and a people-centric approach.
- Strong ownership and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Ability to independently drive initiatives from conceptualization through execution.
- Comfortable working with and engaging a large and diverse employee population.

Candidate Profile
- 3–8 years of relevant HR experience with strong hands-on exposure to Employee Engagement and Employee Relations.
- Proven experience in managing employee engagement calendars, celebrations, events, games, team-building activities, and workplace initiatives.
- Mandatory: Prior experience catering to or managing engagement initiatives for 1,000+ employees.
- Experience handling employee engagement programs at scale for a large organization is highly preferred.
- Should be energetic, creative, approachable, and comfortable interacting with employees across levels.
- Strong ability to independently conceptualize and execute employee engagement activities from planning to execution.
- Must be comfortable personally anchoring and driving employee events and activities, rather than having experience limited to planning or agency coordination.
- Experience working in an organization with a large employee base (10,000+ employees) will be an added advantage.
