Role: AIX Administrator

Mandatory Skills

- Strong experience in IBM AIX Administration
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX servers
- Experience with LPAR, VIOS, NIM, and PowerVM
- User administration, file systems, volume groups, and logical volumes
- Performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity management
- Patch management, OS upgrades, and system migrations
- Knowledge of PowerHA (HACMP) clustering
- Shell scripting and automation
- Troubleshooting OS, hardware, and performance-related issues
- Experience with server backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
- Valuable understanding of SAN Storage and connectivity
- Exposure to Linux administration is an added advantage

Preferred Skills
- PowerHA / HACMP Administration




- Ansible or Automation Tools
- IBM Power Systems Administration
- ITIL Process Knowledge
- Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure) is a plus

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support IBM AIX production environments.
- Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
- Manage LPARs, VIOS, NIM, and PowerVM infrastructure.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server-related incidents within SLA.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Support change, incident, and problem management processes.
- Work closely with application, database, and infrastructure teams.
