AI Agent Operations Engineer

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced AI Agent Operations Engineer to manage production operations, incident response, monitoring, and observability for AI/agent-based systems.

The role will act as an Incident Commander, lead proactive production monitoring, coordinate rollback decisions during degraded releases, and drive post-incident reviews and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as Incident Commander for production incidents, managing incident bridges, escalations, communication, and resolution.
- Conduct proactive trend reviews to identify system degradation before alerts are triggered.
- Coordinate rollback decisions for degraded releases and invoke fallback procedures when required.
- Tune monitoring safeguards, alert thresholds, and improve alert precision.
- Analyze logs, traces, and production telemetry to identify issues and performance degradation.
- Lead Post-Incident Reviews (PIR) and track corrective actions.
- Maintain and continuously improve operational runbooks.
- Ensure effective shift handovers and operational standards.




- Mentor team members when required.
- Support production operations for AI/ML and AI-agent-based systems.

Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in Production Operations.
- Experience working in customer-facing production environments.
- Strong experience in Monitoring & Observability.
- Hands-on experience with Log and Trace Analysis.
- Robust understanding of Incident Management, SLOs and Runbook Operations.
- Experience with Scripting / Automation for Operations.
- Exposure to AI/ML Operations (MLOps).
- Understanding of AI Agent failure modes, routing and operational challenges.
- Exposure to LLM / AI Agent tooling is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.

Education Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
