Senior Active Directory Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

- Provide senior-level operational support and troubleshooting for Microsoft Active Directory environments.

- Administer and support Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), domain controllers, forests, domains, trusts, sites, and replication.

- Troubleshoot complex Active Directory authentication, replication, DNS, Group Policy, and domain controller issues.

- Manage and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

- Support Active Directory-integrated DNS and related name-resolution issues.

- Perform user, group, computer, service account, and organizational unit administration.

- Troubleshoot Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP, authentication, and authorization issues.

- Support Active Directory security, permissions, delegation, and access controls.

- Perform Active Directory health checks and proactively identify infrastructure issues.

- Support incident, problem, and change management processes.

- Participate in troubleshooting of priority production incidents and escalations.

- Work collaboratively with IBM and customer technical teams.





- Provide technical guidance and escalation support to other Active Directory support engineers.

- Maintain technical and operational documentation.

Required Experience/Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience administering traditional/on-premises Microsoft Active Directory in enterprise environments.

- Advanced knowledge of AD DS, domain controllers, forests/domains, trusts, replication, sites and services, DNS, and Group Policy.

- Robust Windows Server administration and troubleshooting experience.

- Experience troubleshooting Active Directory authentication protocols, including Kerberos, NTLM, and LDAP.

- PowerShell experience for Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.

- Experience supporting large, complex enterprise Active Directory environments.

- Strong incident troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.

- Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed technical teams.

- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
