A. Accounts Payable Management

Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders, work orders, GRNs, service entry sheets and supporting documents.

Ensure proper approval and accounting of purchase invoices, expense invoices, debit notes, credit notes, vendor advances and other payable transactions.

Perform three-way matching of purchase order, goods receipt note and vendor invoice, wherever applicable.

Check invoice details including vendor name, GSTIN, invoice number, invoice date, tax rate, quantity, price, payment terms and statutory deductions.

Ensure correct accounting of purchases, expenses, provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses and outstanding liabilities.

Maintain accurate vendor ledgers and conduct periodic vendor account reconciliations.

Monitor creditor ageing, payment due dates, overdue balances and vendor advances.

Ensure compliance with applicable MSME payment requirements and maintain supporting records.

Coordinate with purchase, stores, commercial and user departments for invoice verification and approval.

Prepare payment proposals based on contractual terms, due dates, business priorities and availability of funds.

Verify bank details and supporting documents before processing vendor payments.

Ensure maker-checker controls, proper authorisation and complete audit documentation for all payments.

Monitor returned or rejected payments and ensure timely resolution and reprocessing.

Identify duplicate invoices, duplicate payments, unusual transactions and other exceptions.

Support month-end and year-end closing by recording all liabilities and expenses in the correct accounting period.

B. GST Compliance

Verify GST applicability, GSTIN, tax rate, place of supply and HSN/SAC classification on vendor invoices.

Review the correctness of CGST, SGST, IGST, UTGST and applicable cess charged by vendors.

Review Input Tax Credit eligibility and identify blocked, restricted or ineligible ITC.

Reconcile the purchase register with GSTR-2B, IMS data and other GST records.

Prepare vendor-wise GST reconciliation statements and follow up on mismatches.

Coordinate with vendors for invoices not uploaded, incorrect GST details, amendments and rejected records.

Review GST treatment of job work, imports, exports, advances, debit notes, credit notes and capital goods.

Identify transactions covered under Reverse Charge Mechanism and ensure timely payment and reporting.

Assist in preparation and review of GST returns, reconciliations and working papers.

Maintain GST invoices, reconciliations, challans and supporting documentation.

Support GST audits, departmental inspections, notices, assessments, refunds and related submissions.

Report unresolved GST mismatches, potential ITC reversals and compliance risks to the Accounts Head.

C. TDS Compliance

Determine TDS applicability, relevant section, applicable rate, threshold limit and timing of deduction.

Monitor TDS on contractors, professionals, consultants, rent, interest, commission and other applicable payments.

Ensure correct deduction at the time of booking or payment, as applicable.

Reconcile TDS payable ledgers with accounting records and deduction reports.

Ensure timely deposit of TDS within prescribed statutory timelines.





Prepare monthly TDS workings and payment challans.

Assist in preparation, validation and filing of quarterly TDS returns.

Review return data for PAN errors, incorrect sections, short deductions, excess deductions and unmatched records.

Coordinate issuance of TDS certificates and respond to vendor queries.

Reconcile TDS records with Form 26AS, AIS and other relevant information.

Maintain lower/nil deduction certificates, declarations and supporting documents.

Assist in filing correction statements and resolving TDS defaults, notices and demands.

D. Withholding Tax on Foreign Remittances

Review tax implications of foreign remittances relating to imports, services, consultancy, royalty, interest, technical fees and other payments.

Coordinate with tax consultants to determine applicable withholding tax obligations.

Review applicability of tax treaties and required supporting documentation, wherever applicable.

Verify invoices, agreements, tax residency certificates, Form 10F, declarations and other documents.

Assist in determining withholding tax for each foreign remittance.

Support preparation and filing of Form 15CA and obtaining Form 15CB, wherever applicable.

Ensure timely deduction and deposit of withholding tax on eligible foreign payments.

Maintain remittance-wise records of invoices, approvals, tax workings, bank documents and certificates.

Coordinate with banks and consultants for resolution of documentation and tax-related queries.

E. TCS Compliance

Identify transactions attracting TCS under applicable provisions.

Ensure correct calculation, collection and accounting of TCS.

Monitor timely deposit of TCS and filing of quarterly statements.

Reconcile TCS payable ledgers with challans, returns and accounting records.

Review customer accounts for correct TCS collection and reporting.

Assist in issuing TCS certificates and resolving customer queries relating to TCS credits.

Identify and report short collection, non-collection or incorrect classification.

Maintain proper documentation for TCS transactions and statutory submissions.

F. Audit and Companies Act Compliance

Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax auditors, GST auditors and professional advisors.

Prepare audit schedules, vendor ledgers, reconciliations, supporting documents and management explanations.

Assist in audit of purchases, expenses, trade payables, statutory dues, provisions, advances and related-party transactions.

Support preparation and verification of financial statement schedules and disclosures.

Provide information required for Companies Act compliance and applicable accounting standards.

Ensure proper cut-off of purchases, expenses, liabilities and provisions at month-end and year-end.

Maintain complete audit trails for material transactions and accounting adjustments.

Track audit queries, pending information,



responsible persons and expected closure dates.

Coordinate with internal departments for timely responses to audit observations.

Assist in implementation and monitoring of internal controls, approval processes and maker-checker procedures.

Support internal control testing and documentation for financial reporting.

G. Reconciliation, Closing and Reporting

Reconcile vendor ledgers, purchase registers, GST, TDS, TCS and withholding tax accounts periodically.

Prepare vendor ageing reports, overdue payable reports and vendor advance statements.

Identify long-pending, disputed, debit and credit balances and coordinate their resolution.

Prepare monthly compliance trackers covering statutory payments, returns, reconciliations and pending actions.

Report overdue statutory liabilities, unreconciled balances and compliance exceptions to the Accounts Head.

Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities.

Assist in preparation of MIS reports relating to payables, statutory dues, vendor balances and compliance status.

Maintain proper filing and indexing of invoices, challans, returns, reconciliations, audit documents and approvals.

Key Performance Indicators

Timely and accurate processing and accounting of vendor invoices.

No missed statutory payment or return filing deadlines.

Completion of monthly GST ITC reconciliation within the prescribed closing timeline.

Reduction in unreconciled vendor balances, aged payables and vendor advances.

Accurate TDS, WHT and TCS deductions, deposits and reporting.

Timely identification and resolution of GST, TDS, TCS and withholding tax mismatches.

Timely response to audit queries and closure of audit observations.

Proper documentation and compliance with maker-checker and approval controls.

Reduction in interest, penalties, notices and demands arising from compliance failures.

Timely and accurate submission of MIS and compliance reports.

Qualification and Experience

Mandatory Qualification: CA Inter or CMA Inter.

Graduate degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting.

Preferred Experience: 3–6 years in accounts payable, taxation, statutory compliance and audit coordination.

Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, infrastructure or project-based organisation will be preferred.

Practical experience in GST reconciliation, TDS returns, foreign remittance compliance and audit coordination will be an added advantage.

Hands-on experience in accounts payable, purchase accounting, provisions and vendor reconciliations.

Understanding of invoice verification, three-way matching and payment controls.

Proficiency in Tally/ERP systems and MS Excel.

Ability to prepare tax workings, reconciliations, schedules and audit documentation.

Good understanding of statutory due dates and compliance calendars.

Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, internal departments, auditors, consultants and banks.

Robust analytical, numerical, documentation and problem-solving skills.

High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, ownership and deadline management.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹720,000.00 per year
