Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role located at the GM Moulders office in Guwahati, Assam. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing financial statements and reports.

Responsibilities include overseeing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, monitoring cash flow, and assisting with budgeting and cost control. The role also involves ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations and statutory requirements, preparing tax returns and supporting documents, and coordinating with external auditors and banking partners.



The Accountant will collaborate with management to provide financial analysis for decision-making and help implement and maintain efficient accounting processes and controls.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and knowledge of accounting principles.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost accounting to support planning and operational decision-making.
- Candidates should possess skills in accounts payable/receivable management, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with tax laws, GST and other statutory compliance requirements, and experience in preparing tax filings and supporting documentation.
- Candidates should possess competence in using accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Tally or similar ERP systems, MS Excel) and maintaining organized digital and physical records.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving abilities, along with integrity and a high sense of responsibility.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with management, auditors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce is required
- Prior experience in manufacturing and CA firm is preferred
