Role Overview The Accountable Manager (AM) is the DGCA-designated senior management position responsible for bearing ultimate accountability for all continuing airworthiness (CA) activities and maintenance operations within Aviaman Aerotek's MRO organization. The AM serves as the principal regulatory interface with the DGCA, ensuring all maintenance, repairs, modifications, and overhauls performed on the company's helicopter and business jet fleets comply fully with:

● DGCA Continuing Airworthiness (CA) regulations and Airworthiness Directives (AD)

● Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance programs and technical documentation

● Company Maintenance Manuals, Quality Assurance protocols, and Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAMO) procedures

● Indian civil aviation safety standards and corporate governance requirements

Key Responsibilities

Continuing Airworthiness & Regulatory Compliance

● Establish and maintain the company's Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) and Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAMO) program compliant with DGCA requirements

● Track, analyze, and implement all DGCA-issued Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and OEM Service Bulletins (SBs) across the rotary and fixed-wing fleet

● Conduct airworthiness reviews and maintain technical records (flight hours, cycles, maintenance history) for all aircraft to support certification audits and regulatory inspections

MRO Program Management & Fleet Oversight

● Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of scheduled maintenance (Phase checks, C-checks, D-checks for fixed-wing; equivalent for rotary) to optimize aircraft availability for commercial operations

● Review and approve maintenance work scopes, technical documentation, and engineering change orders for airworthiness compliance

● Manage reliability analysis and trend monitoring; recommend preventive actions to reduce unscheduled maintenance and improve on-time performance

● Coordinate technical troubleshooting across flight operations, engineering, and quality assurance teams

Quality Assurance & Technical Oversight

● Approve all maintenance personnel certifications, training records, and technical licenses to ensure compliance with DGCA licensing requirements

● Establish and enforce safety standards, quality control procedures, and airworthiness directives across the MRO organization

● Oversee internal audits and support external DGCA inspections and surveillance activities





● Lead root cause analysis on maintenance defects and non-compliance findings; develop corrective action plans

Regulatory Interface & Compliance Documentation

● Serve as primary regulatory liaison with DGCA for all airworthiness certification, maintenance approvals, and regulatory correspondence

● Maintain and update the company CAR 145 (or equivalent DGCA maintenance organization) Manual and supporting documentation

● Prepare and submit regulatory filings, certification requests, and airworthiness records for DGCA review and approval

● Ensure all aircraft airworthiness certificates, licenses, and technical records are complete, current, and accessible for audit

Leadership & Organizational Development

● Direct and mentor the maintenance management team, including MRO supervisors, CAMO coordinators, and flight line engineers

● Contribute to budget planning and resource allocation for maintenance operations, spares inventory, and tooling

● Champion continuous improvement initiatives, safety culture, and industry best practices in MRO operations

Required Qualifications

Licenses & Certifications

● Current DGCA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License – B1.3 (Helicopter) and/or B2 (Fixed-wing) or higher category or valid DGCA/EASA Pilots license.

● Alternatively, proven equivalent international license (EASA B1/B2, FAA A&P;) with DGCA type-rating or recognition

Experience

● Minimum 12+ years of aviation maintenance experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior management role (Chief Engineer, Director of Maintenance, Accountable Manager, or equivalent)

● Demonstrated experience with DGCA regulatory framework, Continuing Airworthiness management, and compliance audits

● Prior exposure to both rotary-wing (helicopters) and fixed-wing aircraft maintenance is highly advantageous

● Proven track record in corporate, charter, or offshore aviation operations; MRO or maintenance organization background preferred

● Experience managing multi-aircraft fleets and complex maintenance planning programs (e.g., Airbus, Bombardier platforms)

Technical & Skilled Competencies





● Deep knowledge of helicopter systems (Airbus H160/H175 preferred) and business jet systems (Bombardier, Cessna)

● Expert-level proficiency in aircraft maintenance planning, reliability analysis, and technical record management

● Strong command of CAMO software tools, maintenance tracking systems, and digital airworthiness documentation platforms

● Advanced proficiency in MS Office, data analysis, and regulatory reporting systems

● Ability to interpret OEM technical manuals, engineering drawings, and regulatory guidance in English

Desired Qualifications

● Prior experience as Accountable Manager under DGCA or equivalent regulatory regime

● Experience with Continuing Airworthiness Management Organizations (CAMO) or CAR 145 maintenance organization approvals

● Advanced certification in aviation quality management, safety management systems, or lean/six sigma methodologies
