Role Description The Academic Counsellor (Study Abroad) will provide one-on-one counseling to students on international study options, entry requirements, and suitable programs in countries such as the UK, USA, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada. Daily tasks include conducting consultations, assessing student profiles, recommending academic pathways, and guiding applicants through applications, documentation, and admission processes.

The role also involves organizing information sessions, maintaining accurate student records, following up with prospective learners, and coordinating with partner institutions as needed. This is a full-time,



on-site position based in Kochi, requiring close collaboration with the internal team to ensure high-quality student support and service.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Student Counseling and Academic Advising to support learners in choosing appropriate courses and institutions.
- Proficiency in Communication, including clear verbal and written interaction with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Experience in Career Counseling and Education, with the ability to connect academic choices to long-term career outcomes.
- Prior experience in study abroad consulting, international admissions, or higher education services is preferred.
- Knowledge of admission processes and visa requirements for major study destinations such as the UK, USA, Recent Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; advanced qualifications or certifications in counseling are an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple student cases simultaneously.
- Comfort working in an on-site, student-facing role, with a learner-focused and inclusive approach.
