About the Opportunity
micro1 is engaging experienced Developmental Psychology professionals to contribute to a customer project at the intersection of psychology and technology. In this role, you will apply your expertise in child development and developmental psychology to help train and improve next-generation AI systems.
Your work will help shape how AI models learn, reason, and respond through high-quality, developmentally informed input. Prior AI experience is not required —your academic and professional expertise is the primary focus.
This opportunity is particularly suited to professionals with research or academic backgrounds in child development or developmental psychology , whether or not they have direct clinical experience.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, review, and annotate datasets related to child development and developmental psychology for AI training.
Assess AI-generated content and model outputs for psychological accuracy, developmental relevance, and cultural appropriateness.
Provide detailed expert feedback on scenarios involving children's learning, behavior, cognition, and psychosocial development.
Contribute developmental psychology expertise to the creation of test cases and realistic child-development scenarios.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support AI model improvements and maintain psychological integrity in AI interactions.
Develop or refine guidelines addressing linguistic, cognitive, emotional, and psychosocial aspects of child development across diverse populations.
Identify developmental inaccuracies, inappropriate assumptions, or gaps in AI-generated responses.
Document findings, recommendations, and expert reasoning clearly to support ongoing AI research and development.
Required Qualifications
Strong expertise in Developmental Psychology and Child Development .
Advanced academic or research experience in developmental psychology, child development, or a closely related discipline.
Strong understanding of cognitive, emotional, social, linguistic, and psychosocial development in children.
Ability to critically evaluate developmental scenarios, datasets, and AI-generated outputs.
Robust analytical and research skills with attention to developmental and cultural context.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Strong attention to detail and ability to provide clear, evidence-informed feedback.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Child Development, Developmental Psychology, or a closely related field.
Research or academic experience specifically focused on child development or developmental psychology.
Experience contributing to technology-driven, digital, or AI-related projects involving child development.
Experience evaluating psychological,
educational, behavioral, or developmental content.
Familiarity with working on digital platforms and distributed research teams.
