Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced PHP and WordPress Developer with strong hands-on experience in WordPress development, PHP, custom plugin/theme development, REST APIs, database management, CRM integrations, cloud platforms, and website performance optimization.

The ideal candidate should be capable of developing and maintaining customized WordPress solutions, integrating third-party APIs and CRM systems such as Vtiger, troubleshooting performance and security issues, and working with up-to-date PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or similar frameworks.

Experience with WooCommerce, membership platforms, LMS, WordPress Multisite, Vtiger CRM, AWS or other cloud platforms, Git, CI/CD, and PHP frameworks will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and web applications using PHP.
- Build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
- Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins based on business requirements.
- Develop and extend WordPress functionality using actions, filters, hooks, shortcodes, custom post types, and taxonomies.
- Work with the WordPress REST API to build and consume APIs.
- Integrate WordPress with third-party systems, external APIs, CRM platforms, and business applications.
- Develop and maintain Vtiger CRM integrations with WordPress and other internal/external applications.
- Work with Vtiger CRM APIs, modules, workflows, webhooks, and data synchronization where required.
- Integrate websites and applications with CRM, ERP, payment gateways, marketing platforms, communication platforms, and other third-party services.
- Develop and maintain WooCommerce functionality, customizations, and integrations.
- Work on membership websites, LMS platforms, and WordPress Multisite environments when required.
- Develop secure and scalable backend functionality using PHP and MySQL.
- Work with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, or similar frameworks for application development and integrations.
- Optimize WordPress websites and PHP applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve slow-loading websites, database issues, plugin conflicts, PHP errors, API issues, and server-side problems.
- Identify and resolve WordPress security vulnerabilities and handle compromised websites when required.
- Implement secure coding practices and protect sensitive credentials, API keys, CRM credentials, and user data.
- Work with caching, CDN, database optimization, image optimization, Redis, and other website performance techniques.




- Deploy and maintain applications across cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or similar cloud environments.
- Configure and work with cloud-based servers, storage, databases, networking, and application hosting as required.
- Manage code using Git/GitHub and follow proper branching and code review practices.
- Support deployment and maintenance using Linux, Apache/Nginx, AWS or other cloud platforms, and CI/CD environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis and permanent solutions.
- Monitor application and website performance in production environments.
- Collaborate with designers, frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, CRM teams, and business stakeholders.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, secure, and well-documented code.

Required Skills

WordPress

- Strong hands-on experience with WordPress development.
- Custom plugin development from scratch.

- Other modern PHP frameworks.

- Ability to work with existing PHP applications and frameworks.

Vtiger CRM

- Hands-on experience with Vtiger CRM is preferred.
- Experience integrating Vtiger with websites, WordPress, or other applications.
- Understanding of Vtiger APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience with CRM data synchronization and automation.
- Ability to work with CRM modules, fields, workflows, webhooks, and customizations.
- Experience integrating leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, tickets, and other CRM data with external systems is an advantage.

Frontend

- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to troubleshoot frontend and backend integration issues.
- Familiarity with AJAX, jQuery, and modern JavaScript concepts is an advantage.

Database

- Strong knowledge of MySQL.
- Database design and optimization.




- SQL query optimization.
- Experience troubleshooting database performance issues.
- Understanding of database indexing, relationships, and data integrity.

API & Integrations

- REST API development and integration.
- Third-party API integrations.
- WordPress REST API.
- Vtiger CRM API integration.
- JSON/XML.
- Authentication mechanisms such as API keys, OAuth, tokens, etc.
- Payment gateway/API integration experience is an advantage.
- Experience integrating CRM, ERP, SaaS, communication, and marketing platforms is an advantage.

Cloud & Infrastructure

- Experience working with at least one major cloud platform:
- AWS
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Microsoft Azure
- Other equivalent cloud platforms.

- Understanding of cloud hosting and deployment environments.
- Experience with Linux-based servers.
- Apache/Nginx.
- Basic understanding of cloud databases, storage, networking, and application deployment.
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, or equivalent services is an advantage.

Version Control & Deployment
