Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced VMware Administrator with 8+ years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting enterprise VMware virtualization environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, vSAN, SRM, Backup & Recovery, and Disaster Recovery solutions. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and scalability of the organization's virtual infrastructure.Must Have :
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in VMware Infrastructure Administration.
- Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter administration.
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise virtualization environments.
- Hands-on experience with VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and vSAN.
- Experience with VMware SRM and Disaster Recovery planning.
- Strong knowledge of SAN and NAS storage technologies.
- Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or NetBackup.
- Valuable understanding of Windows and Linux server environments.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of ITIL-based support and operational processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support VMware vSphere infrastructure across enterprise environments.
- Manage VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter Servers, clusters, datastores,
and resource pools.
- Configure and manage VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and vSAN environments.
- Provision, deploy, migrate, clone, and manage virtual machines throughout their lifecycle.
- Perform VMware platform patching, upgrades, and security remediation activities.
- Implement and support Disaster Recovery solutions using VMware SRM and enterprise backup tools.
- Monitor virtual infrastructure performance and conduct capacity planning activities.
- Troubleshoot complex VMware, storage, and system-related issues.
- Manage SAN/NAS storage integration with VMware environments.
- Ensure infrastructure availability, reliability, and security compliance.
- Collaborate with Network, Storage, Security, Cloud, and Server teams on infrastructure projects.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, documentation, and operational procedures.
- Provide L3 support for critical incidents and participate in on-call support rotations.
