Essential

- 15+ years’ development experience with java and SQL expertise
- Able to demonstrate a willingness and ability to lead other developers.
- 5+ years of solid database design and development including SQL, data modelling, query optimisation.
- Experience in handling financial data sets and familiarity with financial instruments (equities, futures, FX)
- Experience of systems design and platform selection. Ability to develop & test solutions to address the client problems & requirement.
- Excellent communication skills.



Should have strong relationship management skills and be comfortable interacting with all management levels
- Well organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple streams of work.

Beneficial

- Experience in designing & developing data processing solutions & custom ETL pipelines for diverse data formats.
- Experience of developing tools for managing/visualising/exploring complex data sets
- Exposure to Python
- Exposure to data vendor technology; Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters etc
