Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage adult patients presenting with various cardiovascular conditions.
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and formulate appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Manage patients with conditions such as coronary artery diseasehypertensionheart failure arrhythmias valvular heart diseaseand other cardiovascular disorders.
- Interpret ECGechocardiographystress testsHolter monitoringand other relevant cardiac investigations.
- Perform and/or assist with appropriate cardiology procedures as per clinical competency and hospital protocols.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations.
- Participate in emergency cardiac care and respond to critical cardiac cases when required.
- Coordinate with intensivists physicians surgeonsand other specialists for multidisciplinary patient management.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and medical records.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosistreatment optionsproceduresand preventive cardiac care.
- Follow hospital policiesclinical guidelinesinfection-control practicesand patient-safety standards.
- Participate in academic activitiescase discussionsclinical auditsand continuing medical education programmes.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.
