MEP Billing Engineers/Designers for creating BOQ's

Role Description

The MEP Billing Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), validating measurements, and ensuring accurate billing for projects in coordination with project and site teams. Day-to-day tasks include rate analysis, reconciliation of quantities, verification of contractor bills, and updating billing systems with current project data. The Billing Engineer will collaborate with procurement, finance, and project management to ensure timely invoicing, adherence to contract terms, and proper documentation. The role also involves analyzing cost and quantity variations, maintaining detailed records, and supporting periodic reporting to management.

Qualifications

1. Strong foundation in BOQ preparation and Quantity Surveying, with the ability to interpret drawings and project specifications.

2. Experience working with Billing Systems and processes, including verification and reconciliation of contractor and client bills.

Proficient in Rate Analysis and cost evaluation for materials, labor, and services.

4. Demonstrated Analytical Skills for reviewing quantities, identifying discrepancies, and supporting accurate project costing.

5. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; diploma holders with relevant experience may also be considered.

6. Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant engineering or quantity surveying software tools.

7. Ability to work in office in Bengaluru, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and maintain clear, organized documentation.

- Prepare BOQs, estimates, and tenders for MEP works.
- Conduct site visits to estimate quantities and costs of materials required for projects.
- Review contractor bills, subcontractor bills, and vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Verify bill certifications from clients or consultants to guarantee compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with site engineering teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to quantity estimation.
