Job Summary
Job Title: ETL Project Manager (ETL PM) - Offshore Role Summary: The ETL Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of data integration, Business Intelligence (BI), and data warehouse projects. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical data engineering teams, ensuring that ETL pipelines and analytics solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Project Delivery: Manage the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for ETL and BI projects, from initial concept and requirement gathering (BRDs, FSDs, TDDs) through to testing, deployment, and post-production support. Team Leadership: Coordinate cross-functional teams including ETL developers, data architects, business analysts, and QA engineers to ensure seamless execution of data engineering tasks. Resource & Timeline Management: Define project scope, create detailed project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for business leaders and technical teams. Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical project plans. Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential roadblocks in data pipeline development or system integration, proactively mitigating risks and resolving technical or operational issues. Quality & Compliance: Ensure all deliverables adhere to industry best practices, data governance policies, and internal development standards (including unit, integration, and performance testing). Agile Facilitation: Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives if operating within an Agile/Scrum framework. Required Skills &
Experience: Experience: 5 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of managing enterprise-level Data Warehousing, ETL, and BI projects. Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, data warehousing architecture, and database engineering.
Familiarity with Tools: General knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Databridge, Informatica, Talend, Apache Hadoop), cloud platforms, and BI visualization tools. Methodology: Extensive experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management methodologies. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between highly technical engineers and non-technical business stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Solid analytical skills with a focus on resolving bottlenecks in data infrastructure projects. Preferred Qualifications: Foundational knowledge of SQL, Python, or shell scripting to effectively communicate with technical teams.Experience managing vendor relationships or offshore contractor teams
