Role Description The Senior Executive – Accounts & Statutory Compliance will manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai involves maintaining books of accounts, handling general ledger entries, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role includes preparing and reviewing statutory returns, coordinating tax filings, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
The individual will liaise with auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders, assist in financial documentation and reconciliations, and contribute to process improvements in the finance and compliance function.
The Senior
Executive is expected to work closely with leadership to provide reliable financial data that supports informed business decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience in statutory compliance, including tax filings, statutory returns, and familiarity with relevant Indian accounting and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare clear reports.
- Ability to coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submissions.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working across departments.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; qualified certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, CS) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a media, information services, or similar industry is beneficial, along with an interest in infrastructure and construction sectors.
