Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, and reconciliation activities. The candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, Excel, Tally/ERP systems, and the ability to independently handle financial records.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle receipts, payments, journal entries, purchase and sales entries.
- Maintain cash book, ledger accounts, and supporting documents.
- Ensure proper accounting of income and expenses across branches.
- Review and verify accounting entries prepared by junior accountants.

2. Bank & Ledger Reconciliation
- Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile customer, vendor, staff, and other ledger balances.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
- Follow up on pending transactions and ensure timely closure.

3. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare branch-wise income and expenditure statements.
- Assist management with MIS reports and financial analysis.
- Provide accurate data for budgeting and management decision-making.
- Monitor actual expenses against approved budgets.

4. School Fee & Collection Management
- Monitor student fee collections and outstanding fees.
- Reconcile fee collection reports with bank statements and accounting records.
- Coordinate with the school administration regarding pending fee collections.
- Verify refunds, concessions, scholarships, and fee adjustments as per approved policies.

5. Payroll & Employee Accounts
- Coordinate with HR for monthly payroll processing.
- Verify salary-related accounting entries and deductions.




- Reconcile payroll with attendance and HR records.
- Ensure proper accounting of statutory deductions and employee advances.

6. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Assist in GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Qualified Tax and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of required returns.
- Maintain proper statutory records and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and statutory authorities when required.

7. Audit Support
- Prepare documents and schedules required for internal and statutory audits.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary explanations and supporting documents.
- Ensure audit observations are properly addressed and closed.
- Maintain systematic records for easy audit verification.

8. Vendor & Payment Management
- Verify vendor invoices, purchase documents, and payment requests.
- Ensure payments are processed only after proper authorization.
- Maintain vendor ledgers and reconcile outstanding balances.
- Monitor recurring expenses and contractual payments.

9. Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with company/school financial policies and approval procedures.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and report them to management.
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
- Support implementation and improvement of internal financial controls.

10. MIS & Management Support
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports as required.




- Provide branch-wise financial information to management.
- Track revenue, expenses, receivables, payables, and cash flow.
- Support management in financial planning and cost-control initiatives.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of Tally / ERP accounting software.
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESI and other statutory requirements.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Good numerical and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple branch-level requirements.

Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification.
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in school/education, multi-branch organizations, or corporate accounting will be preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy of accounting entries and financial records.
- Timely completion of monthly closing.
- Timely bank and ledger reconciliation.
- Accuracy and timeliness of statutory compliance.
- Timely submission of MIS reports.
- Reduction in outstanding receivables.
- Audit compliance and timely closure of audit observations.
- Accuracy of payroll and fee reconciliation.
- Compliance with internal financial controls.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be responsible, trustworthy, analytical, and highly detail-oriented, with the ability to handle confidential financial information and work under deadlines. Experience in managing accounts for multiple branches/schools will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
