Architect – Design Documentation (Luxury Hospitality & Residential) Location: Central Bangalore Experience: Minimum 4 years relevant professional experience Qualification: Degree in Architecture Position: Full-time, in-person OVIYAM Associates is a design documentation studio based in Bangalore, working with leading international design practices on luxury hospitality and residential projects across the UK and Europe. We are looking for a technically strong mid-weight Architect with excellent AutoCAD skills and substantial experience producing detailed interior and architectural drawing packages. This is a documentation-focused role and requires someone who can work confidently and independently at a high technical level. We are particularly interested in architects with strong experience in interior elevations, joinery detailing and construction documentation . About the Role You will work closely with our Project Architects, founders and international clients to translate design intent into accurate, coordinated and buildable drawing packages. A significant part of the role involves developing detailed interior elevations and joinery packages, so a strong understanding of materials, construction, junctions, setting out and how things are actually built is essential. Key Responsibilities • Produce accurate and highly detailed documentation in AutoCAD • Develop comprehensive interior elevations and joinery details from design intent information • Translate concept and design development information into coordinated technical drawings • Understand and resolve construction details,



material junctions and interfaces • Coordinate architectural and interior information with MEP and other consultant packages • Review and quality-check drawings for accuracy, consistency and completeness • Manage drawing packages efficiently and work to agreed project deadlines • Communicate clearly with international clients and project teams • Work to UK and international drawing and documentation standards Essential Experience & Skills • Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience • Advanced AutoCAD proficiency is essential . Candidates must be able to draw quickly, accurately and to a consistently high standard • Demonstrable experience producing detailed joinery drawings and interior elevations • Strong technical understanding of interior construction and detailing • Experience delivering detailed drawing packages for high-end residential, hospitality or interior projects • Ability to take a drawing package forward independently with limited supervision • Excellent attention to detail and strong drawing organisation • Positive spoken and written English Experience working on UK or European projects would be advantageous. Please Note This is not a junior or graduate position and is not primarily a concept design or visualisation role. We are looking for candidates who already have a strong technical foundation and substantial professional experience producing detailed construction information. Applicants should submit a CV and portfolio containing examples of their own technical work , particularly AutoCAD drawing packages, interior elevations and joinery details. Portfolios consisting primarily of renders or concept work will not be sufficient for this position. This is an in-person role based in our Bangalore studio.
