Scientific Content Authoring

- Author foundational disease and product knowledge content covering anatomy & physiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation & diagnosis, treatment landscape, mechanism of action (MOA), and clinical study summaries.
- Translate complex scientific and clinical data into clear, accurate, and engaging educational content appropriate for audiences with varying baseline knowledge.
- Develop content to approved scientific narratives, ensuring a rigorous, purely non-promotional scientific standard throughout.
- Support instructional designers by drafting content for medical science learning solutions and reviewing medical science learning solutions. Derivative Content & Multiple Formats
- Create derivative learning materials that pull through key concepts.
- Provide accurate scientific content and clear direction to instructional and media designers so visuals and graphics faithfully represent the underlying data.

Review, Revision & Collaboration

- Submit all deliverables through the internal QA gate — Medical Editor review and Scientific Learning & Medical Writing Director spot-check — before client submission.
- Incorporate feedback from subject-matter experts (SMEs), the Medical Editor, and MLR reviewers, revising content accurately and efficiently.
- Support Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) submissions, including preparing content and references for review in Veeva PromoMats.
- Collaborate with fellow writers,



editors, designers, and project managers, and follow the team’s content development process and standards.

Education

- Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, or related scientific discipline.

Experience

- 3+ years of medical writing or scientific content development experience, ideally within a pharmaceutical, biotech, medical communications, or medical science learning-solutions environment.
- Experience in oncology, immunology, hematology, cardiovascular or neuroscience therapeutic-area through various content modules/collaterals like Product Knowledge Curriculum, eLearning Modules, Learning Journeys, Quick Reference Guides, Infographics,
- Demonstrated experience authoring scientific or educational content and translating complex data into clear, accurate materials.
- Experience conducting primary literature research and referencing/annotating content to recognized standards (AMA or equivalent).
- Experience incorporating SME and review feedback, and familiarity with MLR review processes in a pharmaceutical environment.

Technical & Domain Skills

- Solid command of foundational medical-science content: anatomy & physiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation & diagnosis, treatment landscapes, mechanism of action (MOA), and clinical study interpretation.
- Proficiency in scientific referencing, citation, and annotation practices, including AMA style and back-annotation to primary sources.
- Strong written-English skills with attention to clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint;
familiarity with Veeva PromoMats or an equivalent document-management/MLR system.
- Ability to work across multiple deliverable types and formats while maintaining scientific rigor.
