About the Role

We are looking for a Proposal Engineer with relevant experience in the EPC sector, preferably handling proposals and tenders for both Government and Private-sector projects.

The candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender requirements, preparing technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and ensuring timely and compliant submission of bids.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and analyse Government and Private EPC tenders, RFQs, RFPs, and enquiries.
- Understand technical specifications, BOQ, scope of work, commercial terms, eligibility criteria, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in line with customer and tender requirements.
- Prepare and review BOQ, BOM, costing, estimation, price schedules, and bid documents.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Projects, Finance, Sales, and vendors for proposal preparation.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers/subcontractors and ensure commercial competitiveness.
- Prepare tender compliance statements, deviations, technical write-ups, and other required documentation.
- Ensure all tender documents are complete and submitted within the stipulated timelines.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, clarification discussions, and technical/commercial negotiations as required.
- Coordinate responses to customer queries and tender clarifications.
- Maintain a database of submitted proposals, tender status, pricing, and project opportunities.
- Support the Business Development team in identifying and evaluating new EPC opportunities.
- Review contract conditions, payment terms, LD clauses, warranties, performance guarantees, and other commercial conditions before submission.




- Coordinate with the execution/project team for technical inputs and ensure proposed solutions are practically executable.

Government Tender Experience The candidate should have exposure to Government/PSU tendering processes, including:
- GeM
- Government e-tender portals
- PSU tenders
- Technical and commercial bid preparation
- EMD / Tender Fee / Performance Bank Guarantee requirements
- Tender compliance and documentation
- Pre-bid queries and clarifications
- Bid submission and post-bid coordination

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycle and tendering processes.
- Good knowledge of technical estimation and costing.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and scope documents.
- Strong MS Excel and MS Office skills.
- Positive written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and commercial understanding.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Good coordination and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Engineering – preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in EPC, Solar, Energy, Electrical, Industrial Automation, Infrastructure, Engineering Projects, or Government/PSU projects will be preferred.

Experience in handling both Government and Private-sector EPC tenders will be an added advantage.
