Job Title: Production Head

Location: XLNT Technology, Talawade

Department: Manufacturing / Production

Reports To: Director / Plant Head

Role Overview The Production Head is responsible for end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring maximum efficiency, minimum cost, zero defects, and on-time delivery. This role demands strong technical expertise, sharp decision-making ability, and leadership to manage people,

machines, and processes under high-pressure production environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Planning & Execution

 Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.

 Ensure adherence to delivery timelines with optimal resource utilization.

 Coordinate with PPC, purchase, and stores to avoid shortages or delays.

 Drive capacity planning and load balancing across machines (CNC/VMC).

- Shop Floor Management

 Oversee all production activities including CNC, VMC, and manual operations.

 Ensure maximum machine utilization and minimum downtime.

 Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and continuously improve it.

 Implement lean manufacturing practices (5S, Kaizen, waste reduction).

- Quality & Rejection Control

 Ensure zero-defect production mindset across teams.

 Work closely with Quality team to reduce rejection, rework, and scrap.

 Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues and implement CAPA.

 Establish in-process quality checks and poka-yoke systems.

- Team Leadership & Workforce Management

 Lead supervisors, engineers, operators, and contract workers.

 Drive discipline, accountability,



and performance culture on shop floor.

 Conduct regular training for skill enhancement and multi-skilling.

 Handle manpower planning, shift allocation, and productivity improvement.

- Process Improvement & Cost Control

 Identify bottlenecks and improve cycle time and productivity.

 Optimize tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies.

 Reduce production cost through efficiency improvements and waste reduction.

 Implement automation wherever feasible (robotics, tool management systems).

- Inventory & Resource Management

 Ensure proper coordination with stores for raw materials and tools.

 Avoid overstocking and shortages through effective planning.

 Monitor consumables, tooling life, and machine maintenance schedules.

- New Product Development (NPD) Support

 Work closely with design and NPD teams for smooth product launch.

 Ensure manufacturability and process readiness.

 Develop SOPs and process sheets for new components.

- Compliance & Safety

 Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

 Maintain safe working environment on shop floor.

 Implement and monitor safety protocols and audits.

Key Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills





 Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes.

 Understanding of tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and cycle time optimization.

 Knowledge of production planning systems (ERP like Odoo/Tranzacht preferred).

 Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.

Leadership Skills

 Robust team management and conflict resolution ability.

 Ability to drive discipline and accountability in workforce.

 High ownership mindset with result-oriented approach.

Decision-Making Ability

 Ability to take quick decisions under production pressure.

 Strong analytical thinking for problem-solving.

 Data-driven decision-making using production metrics (OEE, rejection %, downtime).

 Risk assessment and contingency planning skills.

Operational Intelligence

 Deep understanding of end-to-end manufacturing flow.

 Ability to balance quality, cost, and delivery simultaneously.

 Strong coordination with cross-functional teams (Quality, Purchase, Stores, NPD).

Experience & Qualification

 BE,B.TECH ,Diploma (Mech)in Mechanical Engineering in the same field.

 Freshers or 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing (CNC/VMC environment preferred).

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.82 per hour

Work Location: On the road
