Job Summary:

We are seeking a Principal to provide academic, administrative, and strategic leadership for PSG Public School. The role involves ensuring academic excellence, effective school administration, faculty development, student discipline and wellbeing, parent engagement, regulatory compliance, and continuous institutional improvement. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership experience in a reputed school and a commitment to delivering high-quality education and holistic student development.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and oversee the overall academic, administrative, and operational functions of the school.

· Develop and implement academic plans, curriculum strategies, school policies, and institutional development initiatives aligned with the school’s objectives.

· Ensure effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum, academic standards, assessments, and examination processes, with a focus on improving student learning outcomes.

· Lead, mentor, and develop teaching and non-teaching staff, fostering professional growth, accountability, and high performance.

· Monitor student academic progress, attendance, discipline, wellbeing, and overall development, and initiate appropriate improvement measures.

· Foster a safe, inclusive, disciplined,



and student-centred learning environment that supports holistic student development.

· Build effective relationships with parents, students, staff, Management, and other stakeholders, ensuring explicit communication and timely resolution of concerns.

· Plan and oversee academic, co-curricular, counselling, orientation, parent engagement, and other school programmes and events.

· Oversee the effective utilization and maintenance of school infrastructure, technology, learning resources, and financial and administrative resources.

· Ensure compliance with CBSE requirements, statutory regulations, institutional policies, safety standards, and school procedures.

· Establish and maintain effective systems for school performance monitoring, risk management, grievance handling, and continuous improvement.

· Review school performance and prepare and present academic, administrative, and operational reports to the Management, along with recommendations for improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile:

· Master’s Degree in Education or a relevant discipline; B.Ed. / M.Ed / PHD. will be an added advantage.

· Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in school education,



with significant experience in academic and administrative leadership; experience in reputed CBSE schools will be an added advantage.

· Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum, academic planning, assessment systems, school administration, and educational practices.

· Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage teaching and non-teaching teams, while fostering a collaborative and high-performance school culture.

· Strong understanding of student development, discipline, counselling, parent engagement, and child safety.

· Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, planning, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to drive continuous institutional improvement.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, coordination, and presentation skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/MIS, digital learning platforms, and school management systems.

· High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and commitment to academic excellence, with a proactive and student-focused approach.

About the Institution:

PSG Public Schools is a co-educational high school located on the Avinashi Road, Peelamedu, Coimbatore, India. The school was founded in 2002. The senior school was inaugurated in 2009. It educates students from Pre-KG through to the 12th Grade. PSG teaches to the Central Board of Secondary Education. The school has a junior block which accommodates Pre-Kindergarten to grade 5 and the senior block which accommodates grades 6 to 12. The school's motto is aspire-aim-achieve.
