About Squad Health
Squad Health provides navigation services and software to US medical practices to remove barriers to treatment — especially prescription access.
Our services include benefits investigation, prior authorization submission, patient assistance enrollment, pharmacy coordination, and patient engagement.
Our team members operate as extensions of provider offices, supporting clinical staff through accurate documentation and consistent follow-up.
About the Role
Squad Health is hiring a Pharmacy Prior Authorization Manager to ensure patients get on therapy quickly and affordably while guiding a team to do the same. Operating as a player-coach, you will be responsible for overseeing daily prior authorization workflows while also stepping in to directly identify and resolve the root causes driving complex script issues. By coordinating with doctors, patients, pharmacies, and payers, you will minimize delays in care.
A standout person in this role will drive high performance across their team, increase satisfaction among providers, and drastically reduce time-to-therapy for patients.
The ideal candidate has 2 to 3 years of strong overall experience in prior authorizations at a specialty clinic, including at least 1 year of experience managing a team. You are low-ego, curious, and love getting into the weeds to solve complex problems for both your team and our patients.
Responsibilities
- Act as a front-line manager: manage and mentor team members while actively reviewing, resolving, and responding to complex clinic inquiries and escalations.
- Track daily team performance, provide constructive feedback, and create or update training materials to ensure high-quality output.
- Identify the root causes of denied or delayed claims and coordinate directly with providers, payers, and pharmacies to resolve them.
- Document operational issues and surface tactical feedback to our operations, product, and tech teams to drive system improvements.
- Maintain patience and empathy with our providers and patients, ensuring they feel supported and confident that their medications are being handled properly.
- Get your hands dirty navigating difficult situations alongside the team, demonstrating a strong growth mindset and a low ego.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience submitting and managing prior authorizations for specialty medications (e.g., biologics, GLP-1s) at a specialty clinic (allergy / ENT, pulmonology, gastroenterology, neurology, or urology ideal) or specialty pharmacy.
- 1+ years managing other team members (e.g., tracking performance, providing feedback, creating and maintaining training materials).
- Demonstrated career growth, such as a promotion or taking on significantly increased responsibilities in the past 2 years.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills for collaborating with clinical staff and payers.
- Highly organized with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹130,000.00 per month
Advantages
- Work from home
