Role Description The OT Technician will support surgical teams by preparing operating theaters, arranging instruments, and ensuring all necessary equipment is sterile and functional. Daily responsibilities include assisting surgeons and nurses during procedures, monitoring supplies, maintaining accurate records of instruments and materials used, and adhering to infection control and safety protocols. The role also involves coordinating with other clinical and support staff to ensure timely and efficient surgical workflows,



as well as cleaning and resetting the OT after each procedure.

This is a full time, on-site role based in Thrissur, requiring consistent presence during scheduled shifts and emergency cases.

Qualifications

- Relevant OT Technician diploma or certification from a recognized institution.
- Hands-on experience in operating theater procedures, instrument handling, and sterilization techniques.
- Knowledge of infection control, surgical safety standards, and basic patient care practices.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately, work well within multidisciplinary teams, and remain calm in urgent situations.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and reliable work ethics for a high-demand hospital environment.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and emergency duty as required.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and familiarity with hospital information systems is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a hospital OT setting is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
