Chartered Accountant - PFM
Location: Delhi, India
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support assignments related to Public Financial Management (PFM), financial governance, and audit advisory.
- Conduct statutory audits, financial reviews, compliance assessments, and due diligence exercises.
- Evaluate financial controls, governance frameworks, budgeting processes, and fund utilization mechanisms.
- Review financial statements and prepare analytical reports highlighting risks, observations, and recommendations.
- Support government departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), autonomous bodies, and development organizations in strengthening financial management practices.
- Develop policy notes, concept papers, presentations, and client deliverables for senior stakeholders.
- Assess compliance with applicable accounting standards, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Participate in stakeholder consultations, workshops, and meetings with government officials and project counterparts.
- Contribute to proposal development, business development initiatives, and thought leadership in public finance and governance.
- Manage project timelines, quality assurance, and client relationships to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualification
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
- Additional certifications in public finance, government accounting, risk management, or audit would be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Statutory Audit engagements.
- Experience in Public Finance, Government Advisory, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Development Sector, Multilateral-funded Projects, or Government Programs.
- Experience in financial management, budgeting, expenditure analysis, accounting, compliance, and audit functions.
- Prior consulting experience with reputed advisory, audit, or professional services organizations will be preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of Public Financial Management (PFM) frameworks.
- Knowledge of government accounting, budgeting, treasury operations, and financial regulations.
- Financial analysis, risk assessment, and internal control review capabilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent report writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Robust interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
