Role Description The Informatics Olympiad Teacher will deliver online, exam-focused instruction to students preparing for informatics and programming olympiads. This part-time, remote role involves planning and teaching interactive classes that cover algorithms, data structures, problem-solving techniques, and contest strategies. The teacher will design practice problems, assign and review coursework, and provide targeted feedback to help students strengthen their coding skills and competition readiness.

Responsibilities include creating and updating digital learning resources, tracking student progress,



and adapting teaching methods to individual needs. The teacher will also collaborate with the academy team to align course content with international informatics olympiad standards and maintain a supportive, inclusive learning env ironment.

Qualifications

- Coding and algorithmic problem-solving skills in languages commonly used in informatics competitions (e.g., C++, Java, Python).
- Strong knowledge of core computer science topics such as data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis, and discrete mathematics.
- Experience teaching or mentoring students for informatics or programming contests (e.g., IOI, national Olympiads, competitive programming platforms).
- Ability to design clear explanations, structured practice problems, and step-by-step solutions for varying skill levels.
- Effective online teaching skills, including use of digital whiteboards, coding environments, and collaborative tools.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, with a student-centered and inclusive teaching approach.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with international school curricula and competitive exam formats is an advantage.
- Reliability in maintaining scheduled classes, responsiveness to student queries, and professionalism in work from home settings.
