Head Of Accounts & Finance is responsible for leading the organization's finance and accounting functions. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, cash flow management, taxation, internal controls, financial planning, and strategic decision-making to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyze financial risks and opportunities.

Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor budget utilization and control costs.
- Conduct variance analysis and present management reports.
- Support long-term financial planning.

Accounting Operations
- Supervise general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and statutory regulations.
- Oversee GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage internal and statutory audits.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Monitor cash flow and working capital.
- Manage banking relationships and financing arrangements.
- Ensure optimum utilization of funds.
- Review investment opportunities and debt management.

Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prevent fraud through effective monitoring systems.

MIS & Reporting
- Prepare management information reports (MIS).




- Present financial performance reports to senior management.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs for decision-making.
- Support business units with financial analysis.

Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Identify training and development needs.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Business Support
- Provide financial insights for strategic decisions.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, investments, and expansion projects.
- Evaluate project profitability and investment feasibility.
- Assist in business process improvements.

Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, CPA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent skilled qualification.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

Experience
- 1218 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
- At least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
- Experience in manufacturing, infrastructure, construction, retail, IT, or similar industries (as applicable).
