Position Overview
This role leads three interconnected functions — curriculum design, training architecture, and product delivery — ensuring Makerspace and innovation learning products are pedagogically sound, deliverable at scale, and consistently high-quality.
- Lead and manage the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Instructional Designer (ID) team for all Makerspace curriculum projects
- Define curriculum frameworks, learning outcomes, and skill progression maps across age groups/grade levels
- Ensure content is aligned with STEM/STEAM pedagogy, hands-on/experiential learning principles, and Makerspace best practices
- Review and approve curriculum deliverables (modules, lesson plans, project guides, assessment rubrics) for accuracy, rigor, and age-appropriateness
- Establish and maintain curriculum design standards, templates, and quality benchmarks
- Coordinate between SMEs and IDs to ensure subject accuracy is translated into effective instructional design
- Plan curriculum development timelines and allocate SME/ID resources across projects
- Drive continuous curriculum improvement based on feedback from trainers, students, and delivery data
- Ensure IP, safety guidelines, and material/tooling specifications are correctly embedded in curriculum design
- Design the overall training architecture (onboarding, certification levels, refresher/upskilling tracks) for internal trainers/facilitators and external partners
- Develop training modules, facilitator guides, and train-the-trainer programs for all company products
- Define competency frameworks and certification criteria for trainers/facilitators delivering Makerspace programs
- Establish training delivery standards (in-person, hybrid, virtual) and quality assurance mechanisms
- Monitor trainer performance and program effectiveness; identify gaps and design corrective interventions
- Build a scalable training calendar and structure to support expansion into new centers/partners/schools
- Ensure training content stays updated in line with curriculum revisions and new product launches
- Own end-to-end delivery standards for Makerspace and Innovation Lab products across all client/partner sites
- Define product specifications — equipment, tools, kits, space design, safety protocols — for Makerspace setups
- Collaborate with product/operations teams on new product development, piloting, and iteration
- Set and enforce quality, safety, and consistency standards across all delivery sites
- Conduct audits/site visits to ensure delivery fidelity to curriculum and training standards
- Drive innovation initiatives — new project kits, technology integration (robotics, AI, coding, IoT, etc.), and program enhancements
- Manage vendor/partner relationships related to Makerspace hardware, tools, and consumables
- Report on product performance, delivery quality metrics, and innovation roadmap to leadership
- Act as the single point of accountability connecting curriculum, training, and delivery — ensuring consistency across all three
- Collaborate with Sales/Business Development to align product capability with market/client requirements
- Provide leadership with periodic reports on curriculum progress, training outcomes, and delivery quality
- Recruit, mentor, and build capacity within the SME, ID, and Training teams
- Manage budgets related to curriculum development, training programs, and Makerspace product standards
- Strong background in instructional design / curriculum development (STEM/Makerspace preferred)
- Experience managing cross-functional teams (SMEs, IDs, trainers)
- Understanding of Makerspace tools/technologies (robotics, electronics, 3D printing, coding, etc.)
- Program/product management experience
- Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills.
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
