About the Role
Iskra Counselling Centre is seeking a Geriatric Counselor for a full time remote role supporting senior adults through emotional and practical challenges associated with ageing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct accessible remote counselling sessions with senior clients.
- Support grief, loneliness, retirement, changing health, loss of independence, family changes, and adjustment.
- Adapt communication and session pacing to individual cognitive, sensory, or health needs.
- Involve caregivers or family members only with appropriate consent and boundaries.
- Recognise concerns involving capacity, abuse, neglect, or elevated risk and escalate appropriately.
- Maintain confidential records and coordinate suitable referrals when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Applied Psychology,
or a closely related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant counselling experience preferred, ideally including work with older adults; candidates with additional experience may also apply.
- Understanding of ageing, bereavement, caregiver dynamics, autonomy, consent, and elder safeguarding.
- Patient, respectful, and adaptable communication skills.
- Professional registration, certification, or licence where required by applicable regulations.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
