Revenue Accounting
- Raise customer invoices based on contracts, rate cards, POs and agreed billing terms.
- Verify warehouse storage, handling, transportation and value-added service billing.
- Ensure billing is completed within defined timelines and revenue cut-offs.
- Reconcile operational data with billing records before invoice generation.
- Validate customer-specific rates, minimum commitments and escalation clauses.
- Account for credit notes, debit notes and billing adjustments with proper approvals.
- Track unbilled revenue and ensure timely invoicing of pending services.
- Coordinate with Operations and BD/KAM teams for billing-related clarifications.
- Monitor revenue recognition and ensure correct accounting period classification.
- Identify billing leakages, missed revenue and incorrect billing and initiate corrective action.
2. Receivables / Collections
- Maintain customer-wise receivable ledgers and ageing reports.
- Monitor collections against agreed credit terms and payment schedules.
- Follow up with customers for overdue invoices and outstanding balances.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve differences promptly.
- Coordinate with BD/KAM and Operations for customer payment escalations.
- Track customer deductions, short payments, disputes and pending credit notes.
- Prepare weekly collection forecasts and update expected realization dates.
- Monitor customer advances, deposits and security deposits.
- Escalate long-pending and high-value receivables to management.
- Ensure timely collection and accurate reporting of DSO and ageing.
3. Payables / Vendor Accounting
- Process vendor invoices after verification of PO, service completion and supporting documents.
- Validate warehouse rent, manpower, transportation, maintenance and other vendor bills.
- Ensure invoices are booked in the correct accounting period and cost centre.
- Perform vendor ledger reconciliation and resolve outstanding differences.
- Track GRN/service confirmation and pending invoices wherever applicable.
- Prepare vendor payment proposals based on due dates and cash availability.
- Monitor advances, deposits and adjustments against vendor balances.
- Coordinate with Operations and Procurement for invoice and PO-related issues.
- Ensure statutory deductions such as TDS are correctly accounted for.
- Maintain accurate vendor ageing and ensure timely closure of payable balances.
4. Banking & Payments
- Manage day-to-day banking transactions and bank account operations.
- Prepare and process vendor, employee, statutory and other approved payments.
- Ensure payments are released only against appropriate approvals and supporting documents.
- Monitor daily bank balances and fund availability.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and clear unreconciled items.
- Coordinate with banks for payment failures, mandates, charges and account-related matters.
- Maintain payment records, bank advices and transaction documentation.
- Monitor cheque, NEFT/RTGS/IMPS and other payment instruments.
- Prepare daily/weekly cash and bank position reports.
- Support cash-flow planning and ensure availability of funds for critical business payments.
5. Expense Accounting
- Account for all operating and administrative expenses accurately and on time.
- Verify expenses against approved budgets, POs and business requirements.
- Ensure expenses are allocated to the correct location, warehouse, department and cost centre.
- Review recurring expenses such as rent, utilities, manpower and maintenance.
- Record accruals and provisions for expenses not yet invoiced.
- Review expense trends and identify unusual or excessive costs.
- Ensure appropriate supporting documents and approvals are available.
- Coordinate with Operations and department heads for expense verification.
- Ensure correct GST, TDS and other statutory accounting treatment.
- Support cost-control initiatives by highlighting avoidable and excess expenses.
6. MIS & Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial MIS covering revenue, costs, margins, receivables and payables.
- Prepare warehouse/location-wise revenue and profitability reports.
- Analyse budget versus actual performance and highlight significant variances.
- Prepare customer-wise revenue, contribution and outstanding reports.
- Prepare vendor and expense analysis for management review.
- Provide cash-flow, collection and payment forecasts.
- Track key finance KPIs such as DSO, ageing, gross margin and cost per warehouse.
- Analyse operational data to identify revenue leakage and cost inefficiencies.
- Prepare management dashboards and periodic reports for review meetings.
- Provide timely financial insights to management for business and operational decisions.
7. Small Expenses / Petty Cash Accounting
- Record petty cash and small-value operational expenses on a timely basis.
- Verify bills, receipts and supporting documents for all small expenses.
- Ensure expenses are incurred within approved limits and policies.
- Maintain location/warehouse-wise petty cash records.
- Reconcile physical cash with book balances regularly.
- Process approved employee reimbursements and small operational claims.
- Ensure correct cost centre and expense classification.
- Monitor recurring petty expenses and identify unnecessary expenditure.
- Ensure timely submission and settlement of advances given to employees or locations.
- Prepare periodic petty cash and reimbursement reports for finance review.
Job Types: Full time, Permanent
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
